Who is to say if the question is stupid? Most people, including myself, would say yours was but I'm sure it was entered with good reason. Then again, perhaps not - thicko.

I know some of those questions really "are" pointless, and I have no idea "why" they are asked. But then, there are people who ask questions that appear pointless to you or I, but are "very" important to "them." For "whatever" reason. Some of our questions may seem that way to "them," who knows? But I know the "type" of questions you are referring to, and they not only are pointless, they are almost irritating! Yep, irritating indeed.
I agree with you. I don't know the answer but I have often wondered the same thing. Guess it's just a way of passing time?

Some questions are really pathetic; but then some people are either bored or lonely. it can be annoying and u r not wrong to have asked this question.
Wherelse, some people just want to be clowns..loose there points, in the process; and make others laugh.
Others r just mean and have no empathy, hence they just want to make themselves feel good;eg questions regarding cruelty to animals.
i hope this makes sense..but who am I..just answering what I think.
