Try saying your own name over and over really slowly and it'll stop sounding like a real word at all, you'll start thinking your name isn't real! Funny thing language.
I had that problem once. When I was a teenager I think. I must have grown out of it. I used to have problems saying things in shops too. My sister had the same problem. Always a particular word or phrase. I used to go in a fish and chips shop and order cod and chips, because I couldn't say fish and chips! lol We are all a bit weird - don't worry about it. Looking in the mirror and saying, "Oh, **** - is that me"; is bad - but you get that when you're a bit older usually. Unless, you're a teenager with an enormous zit the size of a mountain on your nose..
I don't have that problem. I like me name, its got a nice flow when you say both my first and middle names together.
I don't know why but i hate saying my name!!!!!! ;-)
my real name is very different, so I am used to having to say it over and over again to people so they can pronounce it correctly.
But I never noticed that I say it with a slight smile! that was very interesting to try.
