10 years ago I introduced an NLP consultant at a trade conference - not much has happened since - so I guess it hasn't taken off with much zest!
NLP is for people who talk rather than do. Who procrastinate rather than act. People who have learnt NLP like to 'look outside the box' and 'live the dream' and blah blah blah.
In the real world you would realise there is no sodding box!!

NLP is very useful in the world of sales, buy learning it you are likely to be much more successfull.

Try to find a trainer who offers PCT and CPA combined with NLP.
Help the individual identify with problem, assist them in agreeing the solution and then use NLP to show them they can succeed in implementing the solution.
NLP does not work in the long term as the subject does not have ownership of the solution as the problem is handed to them. Example- If you tell someone they have issues from the past, they won't take it too serious. If you allow them to discuss and 'pick out' for themselves, they will realise the issue and then you can direct them to the appropriate assistance. NLP can give false hope and expectations if not used properly.
