I want advice on scattering ashes on a grave?

The mechanics are in place but how should I conduct the ceremony?

Answers:
I'm sorry for your loss! though I think this is a great question, since my husband and I also plan to be cremated.

There is a website where you can get specifically designed "scattering urns" and there are prayers, poems, and other ideas for how to celebrate the life of your loved one and grieve their passing from your life in a cremation ceremony.

When I go I want no tears! I have had a Great Life! If it ends tomorrow I'm hugely blessed with a long and passionate love, and wonderful friends and family. I couldn't ask for more.
Open lid and sprinkle.
any way you think is appropriate
use a dustpan and brush
It is up to you..you can probally have a small ceremony or do it alone whatever feels best to you...
It depends. we need more details of what your looking to do during the ceremony?
If you're religious get a vicar or something to conduct it. If you're ot then just have close family or friends share a few thoughts or memories.
Do what you feel comfortable doing
i would just to be sure that way when you decide to go ahead you will not be interrupted by anyone.
Ceremony-memories and words about the person from yourself or that you have gathered or maybe someone else would like to speak. Wish departed well and safe rest.
Practically-there are LOADS of ashes from a body. Not a small pot more like a roses container full ( not a tub the old style standy up ones). Just incase you have not seen them before.
just invite family if you want or even some friends of the deceased and let anyone who wishes say a few words about the person just to say good by oh and good luck and may your god bless you
when my grandad died we had him cremated there were little peace gardens where u could have them scatterd, we did this just close family each one saying a prayer of thoughts i kept a small amount for myself and put them into a locket around my neck i dont often wear it but its just a keep sake also my mum and her sisters have a dried out flower in a frame this is a forget me not . but just do what u feel comfortable with.
