How many of you were offended by my Question?
""OK.Can some one please explain?
Why people feel the need to insult others as a way of answering a question?.. "IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE QUESTIONS ----- YOU DON'T NEED TO ANSWER".. Every question asked and properly answered will enlight some one some where. No matter how obvious the answer may be there is still people whom would like /need to see it written down....OK? "" .-End of quote...
That was the question that was removed!
Answers:
Am not offended by it is a reasonable question, as for the original one - The abuse is a thinly veiled attempt at humour!
I wasnt offended...and your right, people dont need to answer.
me i was never offended with ur question coz i never answer one of ur question.and if ever u have question which is for me is offensive then i dont need to answer u i leave it so forever question.thousand question i can here found.
There's no need to insult anyone unless the question poser is being offencive, but i some times give a witty reply as it's good to make people laugh.
I've seen questions far worse and this was no where near those levels.
I guess someone took offense to YOU DON'T NEED TO ANSWER part, as it was in bold type.
They glommed onto that portion of the question, ignored the rest and got pushed out of shape.
I don't find it offensive. I don't even comprehend why that question would be removed, especially when I keep coming across questions like the ones below (and these are still displayed). The first is an unpleasantly graphic unsubstantiated generalisation, and the second is just plain offensive: -

Maybe there's a place for answers like, "Why don't you get off your fat a**e and get a life!", which is a response I saw to a recently posted motor racing question. Maybe the answerer believes that this passes for rapier wit. The powers that be seem to find it acceptable.
Don't let it get to you. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason.
Maybe you Yelled (capitalized), that is why?!
People that did get offended need to get a life - after all, it is just yahoo - not your entire life!! I agree with the above question fully - there are many people out there that simply "don't know" and it is sooooooo rude to insult others that really don't know. That is why yahoo had the smarts to allow this site in the first place - to enlighten others. If you don't like a question - don't answer it!!
i dont like to give or reccieve offensive answers but i do like to be a bit cheeky somtimes as some peopl think that i am funny.
but no i would never be rude to anyone
I was not offended by your question. Like you say, if I didn't like it I didn't have to answer it.
I have no Idea why?Don't dwell on these little things though just ask it again..
You make a good point! I am certainly not offended, and believe me I can be offended quite easily. I do however, find some answers quite humorous! But some are as you say quite insulting!
I personally think if I can give a straight and helpful answer I shall do just that and enjoy this experience, its communicating isn't it
But every now and again, one see s a rug-rat neanderthal type of question, and its simply brings the worse out in me, I don't think I get insulting, simply say as I think, or as you suggest roll on and ignore.
The people who were offended are nothing more than pig headed twats believe me. I've literally just said that to offend them. They find the most pathetic excuse to be offended. They are people doing nothing more than looking for an argument. Find out who was offended and ask them why. If they give you a crap answer then tell them what i have just said. I would not be offended by that even slightly.
Not I, I'm too busy with wibblebobs conjectural analysis of the width of your innings.
Your Question does not offend me, but if you can lighten up a wee bit i.e It's good to have funny wee answer's but i know were you are coming from when they knuckle heads answer serious question's with a lot of Horse manour,Time and a place and well this is the place but leave the joke answers to the not so serious question's as some people want a strait answer to a serious strait question, so come on everybody BE COOL
Some people seem to be unable to debate without taking it personally and, thereby, turning it into an argument. I don't know why your question was removed, unless Yahoo are reminding everyone that they are the ones that censor questions/answers.
