Firstly, typos do not look good on statements. Try and get some leaflets from your college or something because they are bound to have some. Also, just set out a structure and try to be succint; I chose to talk about why I wanted to do the course, then about my A-levels and how they would help me do my degree, followed by my extra curricular stuff and part-time job if it is relevent and my final paragraph just summed up the other stuff really. Don't lie on it, but definitely include books you have read and other stuff that makes you look interesting and well-rounded. Hope that helped, good luck!
