How would you react if a complete stranger flung themselves into your arms and asked you to help them?
Answers:
I would help them see things as they are beyond this illusion which is what the material world is, also known as Maya. I would chant the maha Mantra to them and have them do the same. This is the Great Mantra for deliverance. (deliverance from illusion, and all misery and suffering) This chanting is the quickest way to remove the veils of illusion over our consciousness and see thing as they are.
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
I would chant with them and then tell them the purpose of human life which will make one extremely happy.

get my cell and call 911
I've had it happen. I did what I could to help, which wasn't much but it was the best I could do.
Depends on what they needed help with. If they looked and were psycho then i wouldnt.
if they really needed help and wasnt just some weirdo then i would do what i could to help them.
Obviously,if a stranger flung themselves at me-a total stranger to them-they'd be in a desperate situation. As long as it wasn't a demand for money (possibility of it being a hoax) I would do what I could to help.
depends on the type of a stranger, a scruffy drunk looking man would get a different reaction from me compared to a well dressed old lady.
I would try to put aside my fears and prejudices and do what I thought best to help them.
first of all, i'd tell them to calm down, relax and to sit down and ask them to tell me all about it. if i could help them in terms of knowing what to do or offer them advice and guidance, then i will do that. it really depends on their situation- if i can do something about it then i will but i'll try my utmost best. if i can't then i'll give them a list of contacts or organisations that deal with and specialise in offering advice on situations such as the ones they are in and refer them to somebody else.
My first reaction would be to run like hell. Next I would look for the hidden TV cameras. Hopefully all this would only take a moment.
Then for my sins I know I would be in full Mother Hen mode.
I would ask them what they needed help with, and if it was something I could manage, I would try and help but taking care to not give any personal details to them/maintaining personal safety as they might not be genuine.
