What (in your opinion) is the most peaceful country on the planet in 2006?

It has to be Switzerland! They have not been involved in any wars for centuries and they have the 'truest' form of democracy which appears to work, although it is hard at times to get things resolved.
Then, think of their beautiful snow-capped mountains and clean air.
(Although hjow much longer will it remain like this, with the threat of global warming?)

Amsterdam!! Drugs are legal, so there is hardly any violence and always parties celebrating life..I know people think drugs are bad, but in this enviroment they have proved to have a community with no violence and a lot of happiness.
Iceland.they have no army, and a very high standard of living.look it up!

lol, there are no peaceful countries, their is some sort of conflict in every country you look at, either the goverment, terrorism Bush..but really, we've had 2 world wars, people are starving hunrgry, poor, beaten up, raped, killed, arson, vandalisem, drug abuse, child abuse, even murders! everywhere you look, all this is happening. i guess you could say the perfect place is utopia, which doesn't realyl exist.
