Character traits?
I have a good friend who really enjoys life, loves to have fun, loves going out and doesn't seem to worry about anything. I, on the other hand, also love to go out and laugh but worry about being a good person, care about personal development and make life so very hard for myself with difficult challenges that sometimes hurt me. Sometimes I wish I was just like my friend and waltzed through life easily, not worrying so much. I don't have any feelings of which of us leads a better life, I love her to bits, but why do you think we are so different and can you relate?
Answers:
I absolutely relate. I'm the one who tends to be more reserved and careful about how I act and treat others. Yet I've had easy going friends who don't seem to have a care in the world that never worry about anything else. I can't say my life is better or worse but my feelings tend to get hurt much easier. I sometimes wish I could be 'happy go lucky' but that's just not me.
I also have a friend who is very different from me- we have very different priorities in life. I think the important thing is to respect yourself and the person you are, respect your friend for how she is and focus on why you're friends in the first place.
The whole world is different and it'd be a boring place if we were all the same. My best friend is extremely confident and out going, yet I'm shy and like to keep myself to myself, but we get on great and I wouldnt have him any other way.
You relate because you like the same things, but you are the better person. She might be lucky and have some of your good points rub off on her.
I can relate to that. I like fun but I also have quite an introverted side. I make a point of trying to be the best peson that I can and have got to a stage where I am quite proud of the way I am. I try to always behave well towards others and my ethics are very important to me. I know that people around me consider me to be very outgoing and friendly - I help people in the community quite a lot and it's got to the stage where people actually get in touch with me for help and advice. This makes me feel quite good about myself. You just have to learn to be the sort of person that you can live with. Although I'm quite deep and a loner, I also feel that I'm one of the most content people that I know.
Everyone has worries, it's just that people deal with them in different ways. Don't for a second believe that your friend doesn't. Sometimes it's the people that seem to have no problems or worries that often need the most help.
I would be very suprised if your friend wasnt as complicated as you. she may be but doesnt varbalise it like we do.
although she seems to have it easy I think you may be desciribing the charateristics of somone who is more likley to be materialistic and if she doesnt struggle to become a better person then she wont self improve and grow as a person like you will.
