Does everyone see things the same shape etc - ie. i see a human as a certain shape and a cat looks a separate?

The human eye and brain may have slight structural differences from person to person, but the wiring is pretty much the same. Some people might be color-blind and see colors differently from you, but as far as shapes go, shapes are caused by light reflecting off an object and getting captured by the retina of your eye. Therefore, everyone should see the same basic shape. Some people are better at teasing out fine details than others.
The eye only receives the image but what we "see" is the brain's interpretation of that image. I suspect therefore that the world would look different through someone else's eyes, so long as they were attached to someone else's brain.
im sure that if you were to look at the world through someone else's eyes you will see it differently we all have different perceptions and beliefs about life and things, and in terms of you see humans a certain shape and animals another, is normal, most likely if you and i were to see the same 5 years old girl now we will probably see her physically the same but we will notice probably different traits about her.

I would expect generally only small differences. When i was younger (9, 10) and imaginative I questioned whether people saw the same colours as me or if they saw them slightly or completely different. It sounds silly but how do I know that the blue I see is exactly the same as the blue everyone else sees, is there really any way to describe red or green to someone who thinks they know? As I have grown up Ive just dismissed the thought as there is no way of describing and would imagine most eyes to be fairly standard, but seeing this question does make me think. What might be different are the perceived views, the attention to detail, likes, dislikes and attached emotional responses etc
You actually look with your mind rather than with your eyes. Cats eyes are organised a little like a grid, so that they can detect movement. I suppose the world is, as you tend to see it.
