Do the japanese have the same scope of vision?

Without sarcy answers, does anyone know if the horizontal and vertical scope of japanese sight is the same as caucasians. i.e. if the subjects was asked to focus on something central to their eyeline, do they have the same degree of peripheral vision? Any citations/references would be appreciated!

Answers:
They may see in widescreen, like they're tv's
why wouldn't they?
Why not? We're all humans after all.
You not feeling well?
That would be impossible to answer, and a really stupid and possibly racist question
I've never heard of there being any differences here.
you will have to ask a japanes person
i suppose but there vision would be smaller
Why wouldn't they ?
The amount of peripheral vision someone has is different to a degree that overrules any cultural differences.
In this respect we are all the same.
It has nothing to do with facial features. It's the eyeballs that have the vision. You should be asking if they have different eyeballs, and the answer will be no.
I can't believe that guy called your question racist. What a small minded stupid bastard! I don't know though.
yes they do its like asking why is our skin different colours thats nature
Interesting question, actually. As for me, I don't have an educated answer for you.
The eye was designed by accumulated variation according Richard Dawkins, and this doesn't change regardless of one's ethicity.
this is an ignorant question. you know that man have the same anatomical structure. the physiology of our organs would not be any different from any other race in the world.
juan's qn is NOT racist, but those accusing him of being so are possibly mor racist. Certainly they are more PC and more close minded. IMO, we should be able to ask any question we want without the kneejerk reaction of "racist". For example it is clear we are all different and we have different strengths and weaknesses and some of that is due to genetics and consequently to ethnicity. But no doubt someone will call me racist which is strange because I am in the PC language today a person of "colour".
It is an interesting question, if not slightly dodgy. I don't have a scientific answer but I believe it may be a possiblity as I remember reading some time ago, the hooded eyelids evolved in east asians as a form of protection from dust in dessert lands. I may be wrong.
How anyone can mistake this question as racist is unbelieveable. The guy just wants to know a perfectly logical question, whats the matter with you all? Would you have found it sexist if this guy was to ask if women experience the same hunger as a man? no you wouldn't. Stop being ridiculous and help the guy out!
all of you reactionary, PC but still racist bastards don't know you're *** from a hole in the ground..i read the first paragraph that he wrote and i knew exactly what he meant.
maybe they do see in widescreen like the other guy said...
Scope..maybe I am misunderstanding your Q. but I answer. hehe..

As I am Japanese, and as Asian, I can say and I am sure to say, Asians and Caucasians are very different.
In both way of mentally and physically.

Mentally, Asians (Orientals) has tendency to see, think and decide with long term prospects.
Assume each nation, country, and group of people has different and individual custom and culture. They don't judge with one rule, scale and standard.

Western nations built by Caucasians , such as US, Europe and Australia, etc, are so called "Melting pot (of races)" or "Multicultural nation".
There some explicit rules and standards exist for ruling people. There are various races in one nation.

In Asia,it can be said "Multi nations", but each country is NOT "Multicultural" exactly. Because each nation has individual cardinal races. Especially Japan and China are "Monoculture".
There are Japan, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thai, etc.

98% of the population is Japanese people in Japan. / 75% of the population is Han race in China. / 98% of the population is Han Chinese(not 100% same as in China) in Taiwan. / 65% of the population is Malay in Malaysia. / 76% of the population is Chinese in Singapore. / 75% of the population is Thai race in Thailand.

So they know other countries have different custom, culture, and the way to think. They know they can''t judge others easily, as Caucasians or westerns tend to do.
But it also doesn't mean they can understand each others. They protest diplomatically sometime (maybe often).

They will agree that there is no definition of "the only one" Asian rule or style". I don't know what is Asian style. it vary.
Which one is easier to describe, Western style or Asian style?

Physically, when they feel the light, it is also different.
The structure (anatomy) between Asian and Caucasians are different.
See, the baseball players and American football players in US. Why do Caucasians paint black marks on their cheeks (under their eyes)? but Asian seldom to do it. they don't feel the light strong very much.
