Answers:
Treat everyone the same whatever their age, gender, religion, culture, beliefs or disabilities. Treat all service users/residents/patients, as you would like to be treat yourself, with empathy, understanding and patience. I`m a care assistant in an old peoples home, for the last 7 years.

You really have to dumd down the question man, if you want an honest answer!
I think that it is mostly personal beliefs! What we pass on to our children is what they think is the truth and real to them - my mum/dad said it - therefore it must be real!
There should be no issue really. I try and teach my child that if someone is different from her, then that is good, we are different, we all have our own opinion, views and thoughts - as ong as we are oringal then thats cool with me!

It has to be the ability of the individual carer to detatch themselves from their personal beliefs/feelings/opinions and promote a truly holistic attitude to their delivery of care in relation to the individual and related care needs.
