Has there ever been a question under Home > Social Science > Anthropology?
which was actually about anthropology? And why can't I place a question in that exact category from my [english] location? Are we being laced up yet again by our American cousins?

Politics is killing Anthropology in the US. Maybe somewhat barnyard politics, but internal collegiate politics is also a problem. I've seen many Anthro departments that have been dissected and the parts swallowed up by sociology, foreign language, and biological science departments. It bothers me because the interdisciplinary bent of Anthro departments is lost in the process.
Meanwhile, here, nobody knows what it means because such departments are practically extinct in many areas of the country.
