Do 'cross dressers' create for themselves opposite sex avatars?
Answers:
I know a cross dresser and he would use a female avatar and yes, he does use the 'ladies' when 'dressed' as he calls it, but the 'gents' when he isn't.
Uh if guys a crossdresser, i'm assuming they'll pick the female avatar.
But does he use the ladies restroom?
Real cross dressers or just 'Transformers'?
I've posted a similar question before.
Are you referring strictly to real life cross dressers, or straight people who use virtual gender bending online (avatars etc.)?
The strange thing is that it is the accepted norm these days!
Think of it; psychoanalysts would have a field day studying this sexual phenomenon.
The other strange thing is that people have told me that it has nothing to do with sex! Defenders of cross gender online identity usage also claim it's all about anonymity. I'm not convinced.
Think about it:
If a person keeps taking on an opposite gender night after night - doesn't it say something about his/ her inner most identity?
No offense to real trans-gender people.
It depends on how they percieve themselves. Though they may have more than one profile to allow them to choose between genders at will.
In the online gaming world, it is becoming increasingly popular for males to choose female characters to represent themselves for a variety of reasons - none related to sexual prefrence or gender identity.
1. If they are going to spend hours on a computer game, many men prefer to look at a scanitly-clad huntress over a hairy barbarian.
2. Other (male) players are more likley to offer gifts (money, life points, armor) to other online gamers if they beleive the gamer is female.
3. Many gamers (both male and female) are more likely to offer tips, tricks, and secret codes to online 'female' characters.
What's to say that many men, cross-dressers or not, choose female avatars for many of these same reasons for online chats and groups?
