Has your life turned out the way you thought it would?

Have you had any huge suprises?

Answers:
No, because I had no expectations.

I followed Confucis, "the man who doesn't know where he's going ends up going the furthest"
No, and no.

Its rubbish and boring. My fault I know.
No i had a lot of plans but things happened and i got bumped out of track .gosh darn it !!
Don't have enough space in an answer to explain but ya everything is working out the way i like it.
Good God, No.
You only ever dream the good bits, never the shite. But hey, shite happens, you just have to deal with it.
I always expected to go to a university away from home right after graduating highschool, but I ended up working full time, and take a class here and there in a community college. It's been 5 and a half years sinc I graduated from h.s., and now it's finally going in a direction I was hopin to be by this age. I was very lost and disoriented w/ what a wanted to w/ my life. And now I feel that I'm on the right path..
No my life has turn out bad. I have bad health et c
No, i had great expectations for myself then ended up working in a dead end job, in a factory of all places.
I got married at 16 when i expected to get married when i was much older (27-ish).. but the time was right, what can i say?

I took four years to finish grade 12. I should have been done when i was 14. now i'm 19 (graduated when i was 18)

I actually took the plunge and went on a road trip by myself. That was so damn liberating. It was just me and great music the entire way. I loved every minute of it and intend to do it again next week perhaps.

So i guess the point i'm trying to make is that i try not to ever expect anything of my life. I deal with it on a day-to-day basis so that i don't get disappointed. Imagine i plan out my whole life and then i die tomorrow. That sound suck (major understatement).

So i like surprises.

They make me feel alive..
My life has soooo not turned out the way I thought. When I was younger I thought I'd get married, have kiddies, have my own house, be filthy rich and move far far away from where I am. Not that my life is such a disappointment - I have 2 great kids, I'm working and I do ok..... I just thought I would have done better. I am always working on improving it though and my life is a long way from being over! You never know whats round the corner do you?
I have to admit that my life for me is a huge surprise all the time. I didn't expect THAT at all. At the age of 17 I had very clear idea how it's will look like. But I had unexpected UFO nearly above my head and ever since my life is completely out of any prediction and full of surprises big and small
well, actually I am glad I do have a life with a cool job, a nice home and lovely kids, 'cause I thought i'd be a cheapy actress, traveling, with no $$$.

So, even though it's not how I thought it, it's a lot better!:)
Afraid not - just disappointments!!
Not at all. I thought by now I'd have kids but instead I start IVF next month.
In some ways my life turned out the way I wanted to but with some of life's blips on the way.I would not like to be starting again
No it hasn't. But then I didn't really have a plan anyway!
not at all!

when i was young I wanted to join the air force, now I do R & D for an IT firm. I fell in love with an Asian girl, now I live overseas and I haven't been back to Scotland for 15 years.

i'm still waiting to win the lottery tho'
No, but sometimes surprises are cool. Glad to have my son.
Sometimes :)
My life is totally different to the way I expected it to go. When I was about 16 I had a plan. Needless to say by the time I was 16½ it was no more. I'm not sure I would change anything though. Except I probably wouldn't get married.
live is shite!! Don't have too many expectations. You'll only be let down. Enjoy life!
MY LIFE IS NOTHING LIKE A WANTED IT TO BE , ITS BEEN MEDIOCA BUT THE DIFFRENCE IS I AM GOING TO HAVE IT MY WAY ONCE YOU REALISE AND WORK IT OUT AND BE ABLE TO SEE AND THINK ! THE RIGHT WAY ! ONLY WISH COULD HAVE HAD IT YOUNGER !
Well inever knew what i was going to do with my life and i still don't know from here where i'm going but i didn't think i'd end up where i'm at and i'm not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing yet.I just hope no matter where i end up that everything is okay in the end.
No - not really.
I've had huge surprises around each corner and have always faced them head on - even if it seemed hopeless at times.
and I wouldn't change a thing.

Its made me who I am today!
no
No my life is not what I Planed and I'm not sure if its going to any plan now. I had a big shock at the age of 15 I got pregnant. now 18 years later I have 5 kids in total. Divorced once, and married again that in its self was a shock. hows that for a plan?
My life has turned out better than my wildest dreams hoped it would, I've had lots of surprises and even some huge ones but they are for the good and not the bad, didn't have the best start in life but the wait was worth what I have now and I wouldn't swap it for all the money in the world.
NO, NO, and NO and YES there has been enormous surprises not alot of good ones though!
No my life is what I and most other people thought it would be, not alot : )
