Does BOREDOM illustrate how WE are not fulfilling our POTENTIAL IN LIFE?

You ppl should not be bored. There's too much to do in our short time on this planet!!

Answers:
probably but if you are all the time with sth to do, you don't let your brain rest and your mind to just wonder which is also needed by the body
No, boredom tells us that we have evolved beyond our capabilities.
boredome is healthy. it is contrast to fulfilling potential. evryone need to rest themselves to fulfill anything
I'm not bored.
Will you come to my house and tell my sons what you just said? *L* It drives me bonkers when these healthy guys whine about having nothing to do. When they were younger I used to get them to do all sorts of activities and volunteer events. Now it seems if it isn't totally structured like school or work they need one of their friends or myself to think up something for them to do! Argh!

It is pointless to experience fear, pain or boredom.

a great teacher once said: "We have a need to experience pain, till we realise that we do not need to experience pain". I think it goes the same for bordom fear, etc. You choose by yourself what you alow into you mind, you controll thoughts, only you can overcome boredom and fear and learn to live without experiencing any for of pain.
Some may say this, but I believe boredom is merely a sign that your potential as a human, not in life, but in general is lacking. Hope this helps.
I have played the part of a bored housewife who starts looking for romance but ends with heartbreak. Life for her was hum drum and now its hum drum with a secret broken heart.
YES
everyone gets bored.
No, that's more serious depression. Boredom is a mild depression generating from a lack of anything constructive to do. It is only temporary in most people and totally harmless but it can be habit forming which it will lead to depression eventually. Its also a lot easier to solve than depression, the sooner the better if habitual boredom is setting in. One thing about boredom, no one likes bores or even more being called one, but if you're bored thats exactly what you are!
Yes and no.
NO because it depends on outward, or objective, conditions. This explains, "but there's nothing to do mum!"
It is mostly young people who complain of boredom, particularly at the age when children are leaving that period of life when everything is new and so there is always something for them to be curious about. Children start to complain of boredom when their immediate environement to becomes structured in their minds but do not have the liberty to start exploring others.
Complaints of boredom usually cease when the hormones kick in and adolescents start to notice that eternal font of curiosity - sex. The opposite one or otherwise, depending on their orientation.
It is no coincidence that it is at this age age that drugs come into play. Drugs alter our perceptions so that we see the same environment from different angles.
Few adults complain of actual boredom as they have more autonomy in their lives. They learn how to skit round it. Adults have things to worry about, children don't. Adults can go out, children need permission. Adults can plan their immediate future (tomorrow, weekend, holidays etc) whereas children are dependent in this respect.
YES because it is a form of projection. We project our inward state of mind on our outward environment. It is WE who are bored and cannot apply ourselves or engage meaningfully in any number of tasks or activities around us that could be done. This is usually when mum replies, "don't talk nonsense, there's lots to do. You can start by cleaning your bedroom."
I'm not bored, I dont get bored.
my mind just shuts down every now and then.

What is your potential and what is life?
I haven't met my potential and I don't know anybody who has.

is meeting a potential to do something really living anyway?
can life be judged by success or pleasure, like a dance contest?
