If so did you challenge them immediately and correct them, or have you gone away and gossiped to your mates about them behind their back?.

She said to another girl (when I was there too!) that when me and her went to a theme park (we've never gone to a theme park together) she met a boy (lie) they liked each other lots (lie) and they are still in contact (lie). I called her aside and asked her what she was on about amd she said 'trust me!' And then she had the cheek of coming up to me 2weeks later and saying that she only said them things because she was bored!
That girl really gets on my nerves!
My sister lied to me, I checked the facts first then I asked her how it could be as she told it. Her eyes went blank for a while, her mind clearly spinning, then she served me another lie. Now we talk about her, but I can't say it's behind her back since she's well aware of us talking about her.
She has tried, but soon changed her tune when she tasted the bite of the lash.
well yes my bro used to tell me that he had done the washing every week !
and i found out i did it after becouse of memory relaps !
my mate blatently drank my milk all week .
and when asked if eny of them had milk they all pointed to a rotten milk bottle that had been there the whole week
and i was a poor student them on 20 K plus !

of course, everyone has been lied to sometime or other. If I found out, and the lie was harmful, I would nail them! But otherwise ignore them and drop them - you don't need it

My ex-bf told me lots and lots of lies about his life, when I found out I first confronted him because I really loved him very much and I wanted to resolve the issue, but he kept on lying so I broke it off hating his guts. We didn't have any friends in common so I couldn't gossip about him to anybody.
yes its happened to me before. i would deff challenge someone if i was unsure of what they were telling me and if i knew for a fact they were lying. i dont believe in gossiping behind peoples backs. think its best to have it all out in the open. atleast then you know what kind of mate this really is

I have a very close friend who appears to be a pathological liar. The lies are not malicious and seem calculated to boost self esteem so I don't bother challenging them. Other friends are aware of this tendency to fantasise and there is an unspoken agreement between us all not to take issue. We all know that it's harmless.

My Brother-in-law told his boss that his wife and daughter had a car crash, and that his wife got badly hurt, and his daughter was killed, as another brother -in-law works at the same place, the boss told him the bad news, all the family soon found out, but as we had not heared a thing about it my daughter went to his house, His wife answered the door, my daughter said all I want to know is, is it true that one of your daughters have been killed in a car crash, the mother/his wife said no it is not true, who told you that, my daughter said that it was her husband who told his boss, and his boss, told the other brother-in-law, and he told us.
So that was one big lie, and he will get a very long time of work now.
