Isn't the asker of a question the worst person to adjudge the best answer?
after all they are just mirroring their own views most of the time. This can be seen in the way people load gooy praise on the answers that flatter them ?

It's nice to know that when some people have made an effort to answer a question that the asker has got the courtesy to say who gave the best answer, especially if they are looking for information and the information proves to be valuable to the asker.

If someone poses a question and they want an answer, how could someone else possibly be a better judge of that answer than the person who asked the question? Every question is personal to the asker, even the stupid ones. How can someone else be a better judge of the best answer for that individual? Sometimes the answers are so similar in content that its hard to pick the best but only you know which one is best for you.
