What does being 'shy' mean when it comes to a sexual manner?
i'm confused because i want to know what causes 'shyness' and how to overcome it

It means fear of exposing yourself fully for who you really are naked and vulnerable, to another.
That why many try to overcome that natural feeling by drinking, taking drugs etc.
Shyness can also appear in someone who is over conscious of their presence and feels uncomfortable with that feeling.
You needn't at all of course your just feeling the real you. And its a natural part of new experiences and experiencing.
It means prude.
Those people are never fun.
I think it comes from insecurity, fear, and/or being just plain stuck up. Just relax.
