Do you think that knowledge equals power?

Answers:
yes. and keep in mind.stupid is forever, ignorance can be fixed.
The right knowledge, yes.
Nope, but knowledge can equal insight into the corruption of power.
Power is raw, it is the knowlege how you use the power you are givin.
WELL IT IS WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE SOME WHERE . THEY PERISH 4 lack of knowledge. THAT is so true.
Knowledge can lead to power but doesn't necessarily equal power.

The more you use the knowledge you have, the more power you can exert or gain in life, but that doesn't have to be the case.

There are many who are happy with copious amounts of knowledge, and don't want to use that to gain power, and likewise there are those with a little knowledge who will abuse it to get as much power as they can - in neither case is it an equal formula.
I think knowledge is power of knowing all of your abilities.
I know some pretty stupid people who have been chosen to take charge.
It can.it depends upon the knowledge that you have.and how many others have it also.
No, unfortunately, i rekon its money nowadays!
knowledge is power in a limited sense.In a democracy it is not always the knowledgeable man who gets elected to power.
Yes
yeah definitely! so its a shame i haven't got much : (
No, think its more "Might is right"
Knowledge is a powerful form of power but not the sole source. It's not what you know, it's what you do with it. So in short, you can be powerful without knowledge and you can have knowledge and not be powerful.
Not unless u transform it into wisdom by utilizing it accordingly.
Most of us grew up with our parents telling us to get a good education because that would lead to a good job and therefore a good life. I started to answer your question with this bit of parental socialization of children because there is an implied understanding that education means a better life, and to most people a better life means living the way you want to, that is, PERSONAL POWER.

Now to directly answer your question in a realistic real life world way, I would say that it is not knowledge that equals power but how well we can get along with and motivate people that equals power. Of course all skills are based on knowledge whether learned formally or acquired through life's lessons. Getting along with and motivating people is a knowledge that produces success and in that sense power.

I disagree, however, that knowledge in the educated sense in and of itself equals anything other than knowledge.

A matter of fact, too much knowledge can turn people off and instead of power it equals a life where people don't always understand or react well to a person with a lot of knowledge.
Knowledge = Mind
Feeling = Heart
(Feeling = A person's personality)
Heart not equal to Mind
Therefore, Knowledge doesn't = Feeling

Therefore, Knowlege its self is a tool, it is depending on the person that uses them.

Knowledge can makes alot of money.
Knowledge can kills or heals.
Knowledge can leads or controls.

The monks/priests use knowledge to heal the world.
The policticians use knowledge to rule the world.

Therefore, my opinion to your question is yes, knowledge does equal to power.
I think knowledge equals inner strength, so personal power, but not necessarily power in a society for instance. I also think that it is true that ignorance is bliss and the more knowledge you get, the more you question, which is almost the opposite to power.
Perhaps; but power certainly equals power.
Yes , in many ways .
most definitely - knowledge equals the opportunity for power,it's up to you whether you take advantage or not.
Which is the most expensive to own;
A good education?
A basic education?
Knowledge is power!
Knowledge does in many ways equal power. I have no doubt in my mind that world leaders know more than we'll ever know. If we were to know what they know their position would crumble. That would mean the people would have the power.
Definitely yes, I do and I'm a big fan of it! Bearing a thorough knowledge you can walk
over a Tiger's Lair!
