What did colonisation to people over the years under the rulers?

Colonisation and the social engineers created a situation and today especially in some countries, this kind of social engineering is the aftermath of centuries of abuse.
Take a closer look at all colonised regions on this planet and see if you can find any degree of stability amongst its indiginous peoples, politically, educationally, and financially.

Answers:
How many ex colonial countries have you lived in? I have lived in several both before and after their independence from their colonial rulers.

Take Botswana for example - you never hear about do you, because it is a stable country with a strong economy built on diamonds, coal and cattle exports, that as Bechualand was ruled by Britian.l They have a good university and whilst the schools are a bit overcrowded the children are reaching good educational standards. The same with their hospitals except that HIV/Aids and a new, virulent form of Malaria are causing some difficulties. The government of Botswana uses the expertise of the 'old world' to forward their aims and objectives as do many of the so-called third world countries, knowing that in the fullness of time, they will have expertise of their own.

So, my point is,l don't make general statements unless you have the facts to back them up. You only hear about the few unstable countries. The rest go about their business and never get into the news because only bad news gets notices.
Yeah it sucks dunnit.
yes, it causes colonial mentality, something very destructive especially after the colony is suddenly deserted. just like tyrants breed tyrants, colonization is the worst thing a nation can do to another. the whole concept of "white man's burden" (to "educate" and make others "civilized" according to their pov) is just bullsh!t.
The instability came after the end of colonisation. Without the influence of the colonial power, the people sink back into the morass.
they rule run ruin but rared in the name of marely civilising
