Silly Question >>>>>>>?

If i see a red post box, and green grass, and blue sea, what do you see. Is it the same. how do we know that my green grass, dosent look blue to you ?

Answers:
Think im the only one who understands ur question - u r aright we dont know if what i see when i see blue isnt what u see when u look at grass, and vice versa. Probably we see slightly different but not enuff to worry about and probably couldnt even distinguish the difference to be honest. But th efact that most dicks cant even understand it says its a good q - well done!
your right..that IS a silly question but thanks for the 2 points
well now that is a metaphysical question, which relates to the theory of relativity, which states that the object being observed changes with respect to the where the observer is observing said object, so yes, if I were, for instance, color blind, or had on colored glasses, I might very well see green as blue.
because grass IS green, that has long been a fact, you cant change it no matter whos eyes you have
You don't.
because i even know the grass is green etc.
I have to agree it is a silly question
that's not silly. the same thing always puzzles me. But I would say for the most part that humans are pretty much configured the same and that differences would only arise maybe in a slight degree of varying contrast
a) Because we have the same physical equipment.
b) Tests for colour blindness are designed to determine whether you have the full range of colour perception.
c) Sounds sound the same which is how the choir can all sing in tune
d) There is therefore no reason to assume you are different from anyone else, unless you are colourblind.
You don't. Even the word "green" may have a different association. Just trust that it'll all work out ok and that you don't really look like a giant sea-bass.
Lol well my brother and my grandad are both colour blind, to my brother pink/purple is orange and vise versa, and to my grandad green is brown and vise versa, so to him, no, the grass is brown!
We don't but what you and I both see as green we have seen our whole lives, so there's no way to know if my colors look like your colors
okelydokely........ obviously have alot of time on your hands to think of that question......hee hee :)
i see where your coming from! often wondered that myself. Thats why often people will argue over colours. such as my husbands car is metallic blue... to me some others say its green others gray.

i'm with you honey
ive actualy always thought the same thing and people think im crazy for it too. were not alone
Because, grass is green, the sky is blue, the clouds are white, unless there is a storm coming. It all has to do with the way things are named not what you see.A horse is a horse and not a cow.
Ok well maybe your color blind and you are imagining it to be what you want to be ..who cares what other people think it your grass let it be green but everyone elses is brown.lol ok only kidding
You headed this a silly question but it sure got me thinking, my mate is colour blind and to him grass is blue and the sky is pink yet believe it or not very dark colours like black always appear gray to him
Absolutely ! Depends what you're smoking.
That is a pretty silly question.plus i dont get it.im confused..hehe
Well, it would depend if we were looking at those things at the very same time. If different, then the time of day, the kind of day and whether it is day or night would determine what color I would be seeing the same objects.

It all would do with the sun, in other words. Or lack of.
Maybe it could also depend on what time of day each person sees these things. Hues change with more or less light.
Well, it's probably not the same in reality. Because we all like different things. We probably all see, hear, feel, taste, and smell things slightly differently, even though it is the same stimulus. I don't know that what I perceive to be blue, you don't perceive to be pink, because we both call it blue. It's just another of life's crazy mysteries.

The fact that we all find different people attractive suggests that we either see them differently, or focus on different features. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and so is perception.

Contrary to popular opinion here, your question is far from silly, but also far from easily answerable. We can all ponder, but atm at least, we can't know for sure.
Everyone sees colours different.
Individual testing with a color chart just as the paint store has.

If you match the same card with the color you see and they do the same you are seeing the same.
That is a very intelligent question. You are looking deeper into things.

The only way we can know that each is seeing the same is if we come to some mutual agreement about what things are. We have to agree on how to express our ideas. This is a terrific philosophy question because it goes even deeper.

For instance, how do we know that what we both agree on is what we are both agreeing on. How can we even begin to develop communication with each other?

A mother points to grass and tells the child it is green. If the child is seeing the color in a different way than everyone else the child will be convinced that everyone is agreeing that the color the child is seeing is in fact green. The only point of reference we have here is that the child sees the grass and the color the child sees and from then on that color is green because mother said so even though the child may be seeing the color totally different than everyone else.

Do you remember the difficulty you had when someone first exposed you to the color aquamarine or turquoise? Was it mostly green or blue? Try asking that question and see what you get!

What color does a colorblind person see when they see green. How about a person that has red-green difficulty?
unless u are color blind ur green is my green in the same light
no one knows the answer to that because we r all taught that a green is green even if it is blue to me and pink to u
