Why do white kids in London try to speak in a west Indian accent?

i don't know but it drives me crazy i have no problem with any other race,colour or religion but don't try 2 b something you're not that to me is just plain foolish and makes them look stupid
Why does anyone who isn't really West Indian do so for that matter? I suppose they think it makes them sound cool.

i am asian and all of my friends are black or west indian and so is my other half. when i hear white people speak like that it makes me laugh but i also know alot of asian people who do the same. whit people aint got no culture while other 'coloured' people have so it is more acceptable for an asian to talk like that if they mix with them kinda people, whereas when my friends hear white people talk that way, they get cussed!

There is no such thing as a west indian accent there are accents of different west indian coountries. The more important question is why do west indian kids living in england come back with an english accent?
