What does ekkythump mean?

As a Yorkshireman, I can tell you that it literally translates as "by 'eck!"
No such word in English.
We all know here on Answers.
But we are all in a conspiracy against you so you cannot be told.

"by eck!", "ekky thump!" and "'ello little old lady!" were expressions used by cartoon caracter Chorlton.

Pretty much a northern English equivalent of "Bloody Hell!" (or "Flippin' 'eck!" in politer company).
An exclamation of surprise, in other words.
It is an ancient martial art devised and practiced by people from Yorkshire. Cheif weapon used is Black pudding sausage.
Same as "Corr Blimey Gavn'r" or "Fack me sideways"
Ekkythump aka Ecky-Thump or Eckythump is a northern England exclamation, like , "Oh Deary me" you would say "Oh ekkythump".

There was a whole episode about Ekkythump in the tv show the Goodies, episode 7 of Series 5 of The Goodies, entitled "Kung Fu Capers" where they portrayed it as a kind of martial art where a black pudding was used to knock people out.
Eckythump, Blooming 'eck doan't you gnaw that? ( Popularised by "The Goodies" in the black pudding episode!)
Ekkythump was made famous by the Goodies back in the 70's.
They wore big tartan hats and koshed everybody over the head with black puddings.
That is the sound of a person falling to the floor after being choked
