Has the new 'Bud' beer Ad scored an own Goal?

I love irony and good humour but does anybody agree that the new Ad 'Follow the call' for that famous American beer only goes to show the moronic attitude towards drink in the western world. They should call this Ad 'You'll love our beer if you are entirely stupid!'
This is the AD where young guys get a call to go to a BBQ and on the way they pick up all kinds of debris on their clothes without noticing and one of them snags his coat getting out of a taxi and continues to walk pulling the taxi behind him while telling one of his friends on his mobile 'I'm stuck in traffic' On a psychological level can the people this ad is aimed at not cop on to themselves?

Answers:
You see the programming that is going on here. "Drink. Don't think." (Replace the "drink" with whatever other product you happen to sell)

It's been getting more and more insidious in the past few years. No-one seems to be doing anythng about it.
Maybe the people the ad is aimed at have a sense of humor?
I DON'T LIKE IT
It's proof that that Beer is the champgne of rednecks
I don't think it makes any difference - all they are doing is putting 'Bud' up there on the screen and you either like their beer or you don't. The fact that people are discussing how stupid or otherwise the advert is, proves that the advert has already done it's job.
