In general, are extraverts more favoured by employers than introverts?
Is it a bad thing to be an introvert? Could a person be at a disadvantage if they admit that they are perhaps an introvert?

I think you need a good mix to form a successful team. Sometimes extraverts spend too much time talking and schmoozing and not enough time actually doing the work!
I think it really depends on the job; for a sales position, for example, an extrovert is required. For an accounting position not so much, and maybe even a bad thing.
not unless the person you are talking to is a judgemental extrovert. Not all are..id say be proud and never hide the fact ur an introvert. I am and I have no problem with saying it, but if someones gonna judge you for it, why play up to other ppls predjudices by hiding it?
its not at all bad to b an introvert...and yes i accept tht extroverts only while away time yapping with each and everyone they meet..but still..u can hav an edge wen ur both..b an extrovert wen u need to b(helps u to make friends).and introvert wen u need to b..u can stay focused without wasting time i feel emplyers would look fwd to only such ppl who can b both and flexible and adaptable..all the best for ur future

Not just employers, but naturally many people are drawn to extraverts. If someone who's normally an introvert learns how to "play the game" and be a little more social at work and such, that person may make up the difference, but I think there's definitely an advantage to being social.
There is no shame of being introvert! No need to "admit" it, it shows. Well, it depends on the people and on the job.
Introverts and extraverts deal with information in a different way and that has an impact on their relationship with others.
