"Emotion is the force of life", do you agree?

The phrase is not from me and it is taken out of context but I find it great.
Do you like it? Why?

Answers:
I sort of like it.
no I think fear is the force and emotion the comfort
emotion triggers both our brain cells and our feelings. when these two get together big things happen. However you still need to "manage" them through force of character.
i like it..caz i think the same way
Emitions law of life.
without reproduction there is no life.
This concept always springs to mind if I happen to catch sight of Mr Spock from Star Trek. If Vulcans truly are devoid of emotion, then surely it follows that they would be completely inactive, unresponsive and do absolutely nothing.

They would not eat, as they would fail to react tothe discomfort of hunger, fail to drink for the same reasons, fail to react to visual, aural, tactile etc. etc.

Yes, I would agree that emotion is a life-force. Perhaps it's possible to argue the exact definition of emotion, but the Vulcan logical/emotionless thing seems to be a complete paradox to me. To my mind, no emotion equals a non-functioning life-form.
Emotion is the new IQ test... brains now are measured on Emotional Intelligence.
Emotions are your true nature and display your true spirit.
