I get really cranky in hot weather. summer is the worst! When it is cool and breezy, it makes me feel happy. It will be interesting to see some of the answers on this one! I have always been curious about this myself.
Weather changes always illicit a response from my moods. Rain makes me feel sleepy and somber. Sunshine makes me feel Happy and creative. Wind excites me and I feel child like.
The weather effects your mood because if it is sunny outside your are happy and when it is dark and gloomy you might feel the same way.
If It's rainy I'm more likely to be irritated because I hate getting wet! I'm Happy when it's warm I love sleeping a hot car with the windows rolled up! It gets so hot and relaxes me!
hot weather makes me more horny!
Sunny days bug me, but I am highly motivated and get things done. Rainy days are comforting to me and I'm pretty mellow on those days. I hate wind.
during the calm before the storm--i feel peaceful
during a thunder storm, i feel like cleaning house
when its sunny and hot i feel like playing outside like a little kid
when its cloudy i like to read
and when its dreary and drizzling rain i am depressed
when its cold i like to be a couch potato and watch TV
and when it is snowing i like to cook and bake
I went to Texas a few years back, having never been to another country, I'm orignally from Northern Ireland where it rains constantly not to mention the troubles, but when I went to Texas where it's always sunny and hot, I noticed people where much happier and less reserved that the people back home. So yes maybe.
When it gets cloudy I feel a very tired and drained mood. When it gets really windy during a bad thunder/lightening/hail type storm, I get super paranoid! The wind triggers a panic response in my brain, but I don't know why! It can be POURING down straight rain with thunder & lightening and I am fine - not scared. BUT as soon as the wind kicks up and starts blowing hard I am very nervous. Something about the wind really gets me.
I love storms

especially thunderstorms

and when it's baking hot like this I'm happy because of the cloudless skies but I prefer to stay inside

I keep a tropical schedule

and when it cools down a bit I like to go to the riverbank and watch the ships or go to the beach

If it's snowing I'm delighted

if the days are grey I count them till they're over

er, any more?
my favourite weather is cold and sunny, like a crisp autumn morning,,, i cannot stand the heat, i get bad tempered, irritiable and tired, i just do not want to do anything
the rain is ok if im indoors with the fire on and a black and white film on the telly
i used to like the wind but now i find i get irritated trying to walk somewhere when its windy
i love thunder and lightening, really dramatic

i like a sea breeze and i reckon i can also smell christmas and winter coming because its my favourite time of year, but im not sure if thats true
if it's rainy i dont want to get out the bed. or even when it's cloudy and dark
but when it's sunny and bright outside i wanna go outside and enjoy it. it's a motivation to wake up.
OOOhhhhh ***YES*** the more sunshine the better mood...definately ..."SUNSHINE ON MY SHOULDERS MAKES ME HAPPY" etc etc !!!!!!!!!
Sunny weather makes me feel carefree and motivated, cloudy weather makes me feel sort of mellow and drab. Check out SAD Seasonal Affect Disorder if you have a question regarding depression because of the weather. There are studies that show people who reside in cloudier climate weather have higher melatonin levels and have more depression cases in these areas.
Sunny is more upbeat. But cloudy and rainy can be comforting if your stuck inside with hot cocoa. I find the short days of winter to be very depressing, long term. And the stifling hot heat waves in summer make me physically ill. So I guess there's no pat answer.
It affects me like my period effects me!
Cloudy rainy days I feel like I can't wake up all day
Sunny: Happy
Rainy/cloudy: Unhappy
Thunderstorms: Excited
Unfortuantely the weather is usually rainy here. Not that I have SAD, just that I can understand why lots of us have homes/move/travel abroad.
cold weather makes me feel sad and dull so i always go shopping in winter coz shopping is my therapy and end up being overdrawn.
Weather doesnt effect my mood generally, but that is not so for many.

Seasonal affective disorder - Some people suffer from symptoms of depression during the winter months, with symptoms subsiding during the spring and summer months. This may be a sign of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). SAD is a mood disorder associated with depression episodes and related to seasonal variations of light

Possible Cause of this Disorder

Melatonin, a sleep-related hormone secreted by the pineal gland in the brain, has been linked to SAD. This hormone, which may cause symptoms of depression, is produced at increased levels in the dark. Therefore, when the days are shorter and darker the production of this hormone increases.
in winter i get upset really easily, i lack motivation and the dark and the cold makes me feel low and isolated.then in the summer im on a high and really full of life and cheerful

i wonder whether it is to do with association.as in darkness is associated withbad things and light good.or whether it is more to do with hormones or the like?
