I keep getting a profound sense of Deja Vu. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Answers:
I don't believe in Deja Vu.
It could be your psychic so can I have the lotto numbers please?
It is actually a symptom of mental illness or chemcial/physiological problems. If it presists, see your family doctor.

Or the Matrix is being altered.
wow, maybe someone fell in love with you and soon gonna confess
It's your neurons catching up with themselves. If it persists, go and see your GP.
I'm sure I've read this question before
I believe that having Deja Vu means that you are in the right place at the right time in your life. I could be wrong.. but I keep getting this feeling that I typed this before..
You really have been there before?

You are fixated on medium sized rodents that live in burrows? Tell me, do you see your shadow or not on these occasions?

(If it's a serious question, and it really bothers you, make notes of when it happens and see a doctor.)
Both of those answers are rubbish. From my understanding it is a misfired signal from the brain which goes through the memory part of your brain, causing a reaction which makes u think u seen it all before. Confusing but true, i get it all the time. nothing to worry bowt, unless you ARE mental inwhich case its still got nothing to do with the deja vu, u r jus mental.
y don't u see a hypnotist that could help
i think it might be a memory from a past life thats what i believe anyway it happens to me all the time , i reconise places i know i havnt been to and can tell my husband whats round the corner and wat way to go it drives him mad.
It is generally considered to be something to do with recurring karma. It can also be connected with psychic development. It is perfectly natural and a lot more common than people care to admit.
Have you been eating spicy burritos again Goat Boy?

I don't know what did you feel the first time round..?
Deja Vu is when the right side of your brain registers something, and then your left side catches up slower than usual, creating the sense that you have already been there or seen it. so there the left side of your brain is just being slow..join the club
You are not concentrating on what is going on around you enough. Deja vu is just you brain storing what you have seen straight into long term memory and then you start to actually observe what you are seeing so you store that memory actively into your short term memory at the same time your brain recalls it from long term memory ergo: double vision.
If you concentrate on what you are doing it will happen less. Don't go into vacant trances or let your mind wonder. It is very common in drug users so if you are smoking ganja then I would lay of it.
AGAIN ?

Shall I give the same answer as before ?

In English this time : is it because you are seing my avatar again ?

(am starting to wonder about my own sense of déjà - vu too).
Um.is sh33py trying to tell you that his/her brain is misfiring all the time? Maybe it's time to change the oil!
So do I , i feel the same like i have already answser this Q
It's perfectly normal.maybe you feel that Deja vu when u are in a place that u visit all the time.or in your house..it's the routine..that is causing this.or maybe you think u did something before because u saw someone else doing it!!
some say left side of the brain process faster than the right side, or is it the other way round.
Tommy G's answer is near to correct.I have learned a lot from all the answers as it happened to me too and I had a lot of true dreams. Now I feel very stable. The confusion is gone.If it happens I cocentrate with full mind instead of jumping to results.
My daughter has recently has recurring deja vu experiences and following a bout also of extreme tiredness went through a very thorough medical examination which revealed some abnormalities in the brain - leading to a final diagnosis of epilepsy.

This does not of course mean that everyone who has deja vu experiences may have this condition but if this is a recurring problem you should see a doctor.
In reference to Y!A, I have that sense everyday when I log in and see the same questions being asked again that someone else asked the day before, and the day before, and the day before.you get the idea.
No, but it happens to me often, sometimes not for weeks, then others up to 8 or 9 times a day - not strictly deja but usually some deja vu and recallections of dreams and very familiar feelings. I'd love to know the name for that. Maybe your subconscious is on the fritz, you're having energy problems - those were the only causes I could think of.
maybe something similar happened in the past.
I don't believe in Deja Vu.
No way.
