A question I posted about beheading got 1 reply a minute for 30 mins but a question I posted about green environmental issues got none in 20 mins.
What does this say about our society?

People don't really care about the environment!
yes i have noticed that questions about sex get loads of answers but something more important doesnt get as much. this says nothing about the society but about the users at yahoo.
because people only choose t5he intere4sting ones not that the enviroment is boring but the ones that catch your eye its not that people dont care it's that they gfo for whats stupid

Maybe people prefer answering questions that don't relate to them.
Perhaps green issues actually make people feel uncomfortable because they just aren't that bothered about it!

I know of none, I communicate at the friends of the earth site but it's hardly what you class as a forum.

People will give answer if it is hard and not available. They don't want to waste their time for easy question

maybe you just posted it at the wrong time. Serious quesitns seem to get hardly any replies whereas stupid questions get millions! i asked something about disney films and got like 40 responses. I suppose, because of the points, people answer the really easy ones that require one or two word answers and that they know a lot about.
These people donot represent the society so don"t get alarmed.
the green issues are real and require us to act and take responsibility .. theoretical questions distract us from having to take action
Maybe the average person KNOWS more about beheading than green issues. The first one is a lot simpler, sad to say.
Well . it says that we've not progressed very much from medieval/renaissance Europe, when beheadings / executions were for centuries the big after-church public entertainment on weekends.
"The body of Christ" . followed by bodies and the knife. Very civilized, eh?
But, maybe most people aren't aware of such historical facts. those tending to show how brutal and barbaric our recent past.
So, can it be mainly ignorance, which leads to such pride and arrogance I see toward other cultures, here on Answers?
Pride based on ignorance. Proud of our ignorance? I can't decide whether it's more laughable, despicable or dangerous.
Human nature sucks, doesn't it?
Morbid interest has a high rating among the public. Same as purile interest shown in the tabloid media.
Personally, I have an interest in TV documentaries about serial killers and gangsters.

Well I've had a question open for 2 days and have only had 1 answer!(its in games and recreation if your interested btw) Perhaps its all about where you put them? Or when or perhaps it was an easier question to answer quickly? I didn't see either of them so can't offer a more definative answer.
