Does having a bipolar person in your life change things, or are things just as they were before you knew?

Answers:
It depends on what you mean. Starting a relationship with someone you know to be bipolar will be 'interesting' if they are not taking their meds. If they are, then it will make no difference.

Finding out someone you already have a relationship with will change things (I'm assuming that by finding, we mean tehy get diagnosed, not that you found their meds in the bathroom cabinet).

For the bipolar, it is a huge upheaval, having to come to terms with a lifelong mental illness. For the other partner, it can be a relief that there is an explanation for behavior, a frustration that their partner has an 'excuse', a turning point because treatment can give them back the person they loved.
u recognize the value of sanity
My father is Bipolar. It can be difficult to cope with, and you need a good support network. You can't have a "normal" relationship with them, but it can still be a great one. When they're on medication it causes them to be pretty mono-toned and without emotion, but don't blame them for it, it's not their fault. I suppose it really depends on how severe the Bipolar Disorder is.But, things will change, but you must embrace the changes and live the best you can. Be there for the person, and don't treat them any differently. God bless.
yes it changes a lot. their mood changes and sometimes may become violent. it'll be different you can count on that.
If you knew they were bipolar then things would stay the same. If you didn't however; you will sometimes have a upside down world. Bipolar individuals do change mood and behaviors; with, or without reason.
Bi-polarity is a confusing subject. Tri-polarity is absolutely frustrating. (There is no such thing) To have such a person in your life is just another flight of stairs. You may get to the top, or they may meet you half way and fight for the rest of the ascent. Love them, be patient, and watch your step. Change is inevitable.
