How do you overcome being nervous or stressed?
No rude answers please as I won't read them!
Answers:
I turn on some very soft music and allow myself to be taken to another place and time. Or sometimes I will turn up the volume of some great dance music and dance and sing until I forget about everything that was bothering me sometimes if you do this in front of a mirror and see how funny you look you will even start to laugh.
Alcohol,the miracle cure.
Well I like to read books in the evening in bed, that really relaxes me to sleep.
But I smoke too when I am nervous and stressed, not a good thing at all.
Maybe you should just talk to someone about how you are feeling a good chin wag is a good as therapy sometimes.
personaly a glass of whisky
Focus on yourself and forget the outer surrounding opinions.
don't get into a situation that makes you nervous or stressed
how will you know if it's a rude answer if you don't read it?
Memorize and quote this. It worked for me.
KJV - 2 TIMOTHY 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
Stop and take a few deep breaths. I like to go to the bathroom for privacy. I may say a quick prayer too about whatever is bothering me.
Regular Yoga.
Do something you quite enjoy and continue doing it. Also buy a stress ball, so whenever you feel nervous or stressed you can take out frustration. And find the root of your problems, resolve them to your best ability and move on.
Be happy, Be safe, Be well & Good luck!

Please don't use alcohol as it is a stimulant. Well I have been going to a hynotherapist and it has been great. My anxiety stopped almost immediately. However, hynotherapy is expensive so here are some things I learned in the process:
Learn to breathe - take deep breaths in and let them out really slowly. Fill your lungs!
When you start to feel nervous or stressed, refocus on something else, including the breathing. As soon as you feel the adrenalin kicking in, start the breathing exercise. Imagine the thing that is stressing you out to be a mountain and tell yourself that you don't need to climb that mountain, you can go around it or turn back.
Good luck!
first eating, eat what u like+ yummy taste. when your stomach full (not too full) with tasty food, your emotion will chill out and relax.
secound,sleep or even taking a nap .
well even u can't force your brain to sleep, but try to lay down on the bed with good atmostsphere (good music, good smell, clean bed),don't think about anything elese.
third talk to someone about thing that make u nervous or stress.
fourth, take yourself away from those stress thing (if u can).
It depends on what you mean by feeling nervous/stressed. If you're talking about on the spot anxiety, ie visiting the dentist or hospital then controlled breathing can help. Try breathing in for a count of 4 and breathing out for a count of 10 and you should find yourself calming down. If you're feeling permanantly stressed, you really need to find the route cause of it. Make sure to make time for yourself everyday and do the things you enjoy. Excersise may help as it gets the the body in the mood for relaxation. If it's effecting the quality your life, go talk to your doctor about it. He/she can put you in touch with counsellors and various support groups where you can share your thoughts.
Try Zen meditation, Tai Chi, walking in nature, counting your blessings, good sex, and blowing grossly loud bubbles on babies' bellies.
the best thing you can do is to do somthing that scares you everyday, that way you will build up your self confidence and wont be so worried all the time. i tried it and it worked for me.
