In history, why does Austria have many famous psychology-related persons?

I think it is kind of a stereotype. but I believe it is a same question as asking, "why do the Germans seek the perfection?"

Because in history, Vienna was the cultural, economic and political centre in Europe. It was the capital of the Austrian Empire.
Perhaps cocaine was very easily obtained in Austria during the late19th early 20th Century..

They had more mentally challened people than anywhere else. Hitler was Austrian (his real name was Shicklegrubber or something like that)
The Austrians are really *nuts* about the science.

Re the german steryotype, ask them. They have thier own national Answers site (see flags below). Be warned though, I almost guarentee that your Q will get bounced and barred, no matter how diplomatic you put it.
