Is it possible to find my inner self?
There is a part of me that is always sad, but i put on a front to let people know that i am ok. Deep down inside of me i feel pain and over the years i have kept it in. I have been through alot and i just can't bear it anymore. I am going to be 20 next year and i am in my first year of Uni and everything seems to be giving me a head ache, some associates say i have lost weight how can find myself and change these feelings?

Take this the right way: Don't look for your inner self. You have too much time to think and worry and be depressed as it is. You have devoted too much time to that, to this point in your life. Instead, immerse yourself in activities. Get busy and stay busy. You should be exploring the world, not your inner self. That usually leads to a funk, in my experience.
It's easy! Just look deep inside!
You need to book yourself in for some councelling.
It sounds like you're pretty down. Try your GP, they're there to help. They can refer you for councelling or, if it's the route you wish to take, can prescribe antidepressants until you get yourself back on your feet.
If you wish to talk to someone there are plenty of chatlines that offer 24 hour support. If you're feeling suicidal, the samaritans have a wonderful website where you can keep in touch through email as well as on the phone.
I hope everything works out for you. Please don't suffer in silence and get some help. x
Have some fun. You know how to have fun, don't you? If you don't, try different things until you find something that keeps you smiling. Don't worry, you're still growing up and have a lot of maturing to do yet.
Is it possible to look for your inner self.?
I dont know .. where did you leave it last?
I think you need a break or something , go and have fun with your friends and hang out a bit might make you better :)
You are only 20 years old? Wow! You are just confused about life. The problem is you think you need to know all of the answers before you start living. You do not. Go have some fun. Enjoy your friends and family. The answers will come in time. Don't go looking for them. Once you get the answers that are confusing you now, you will realize that you should have done what I just advised you to do when you were young. Plan for the future, but don't worry about it.
good luck

You are in the midst of changes.massive changes in your life. Everything that you hve enjoyed is gone and replaced with this foreign environment. You likely enjoyed your home life, or was at least comfortable with it.you were at the top of your game in high school, you had friends who are all dispersed.and now must start all over for the first time.
Welcome to life.
Now the good news.
You will go home and see that everything is still there. Different but there. You'll feel better.
You will met and socialize with people just as miserable as you, you'lll likely smile and party and love.
You have an opportunity now that most people do not, to make your mark in the world. Or at least to take it for a ride.
I've been there, done that, got the tee shirt. It will get beter.
In the mean time, why not decide to pick yourself up and enjoy what you have.
It is not until you embrace your inner self that you become whole. Let it out even if it is in private if you feel embarrassed.
I also went through a period of my life feeling just like you do, I finally went to a psycologist ,who through just a few sessions of talk thearpy, was able to define what was making me sad, that along with lexapro helped turn myself around , now I am happy and am not on the medication anymore and no longer need any thearpy sessions, my complete turnaround took about a year.
Do you constantly work? Do you kick back and relax? Do you eat properly? Probably not as a first year student. Have a go and see what happens.
first of all, congadulations on you condition, i say this because what you are going through is a healing proccess. Your heart is saddened and when you are not putting up a front there will be a fallen countenence to your face, many are like this some even have feelings of constant fear, those who appear to be unconcerned about every thing and are always happy, have not yet begun to learn, your statement proves you have got heart though it be sad your answer will be in your behaviour and how you treat people and yourself. you are approaching what I call threflective age it comes after the carefree teenage years, when one thinks there must be something better than this,Read the sermon on the mount, when I say read what I mean is Feel the sermon on the mount, read out loud and slowly and take in every word.and feel then act upon it. god bless
Try writing poetry.or short stories based on your experiences.Just for yourself at first .It is amazing how you can release the hidden emotions which are simmering away under your public exterior.Soon other folk will want to know you better and that will help you to deal with the sadness that is real but not being expressed .At that stage a soul mate may appear which is something we all need to deal with problems.Good luck and happiness ahead.
not until the world doe$ what you want it to
I have read what you have said, may i ask you one thing?
Is it not that inner self that prompts this question?
Many people feel the way you have described don't they? Psychology books are full of similar accounts and offer there own fragment of understanding.
Is this question made up to seek further understanding or is a personal question?
If its the first you will resonate with an answer that feels right governed by what you have read so far.
If its the second then you might be burning with this question, really want to solve it for your self. To somehow rise above it all with understanding and transform your thinking and gain insight into the nature of inner self, if it really exists.
I cannot give an adequate response without knowing this, agreed?
