No cause men are stronger, and can hurt people more easily, with less effort. With all that testosterone, I think men are capable of getting madder, while women can get more emotional. I'm not sure though so don't quote me on this or sue me please.

In a domestic situation I would probably say yes - they tend to get away with it - men not wanting to complain that they're being smacked about by the missus. Hit a woman and the world will know about it.

I think women can be as equally violent as men but i think they are more violent towards people of the same sex but i cant say i've ever been violent myself as i am a very placid person
This is philisophical question. Obviously it could be suggested that men are stronger than women and so could hurt you more easily but how about a woman who is trained with a gun and in martial arts, could she be more violent than a regular man?
The answer to this question lies in the what men and women WILL do rather than what they CAN do. Nietzsche (the philosopher) said that women open wounds to find a weak spot, that once found they would exploit the weak spot with no empathy or consideration for their victim and will persue the weakness untill their anger has been veted, whereas men may attack and open a wound but upon seeing the weakness become consilatory and even caring and no longer wish to inflict more harm.
This can be seen in the way that women (including young girls of school age) behave towards each other in normal social situations or when hurt emotionally or physically. As a primary school teacher I see girls falling out all the time in the playground. One minute they are best friends the next they hate each other and are spitfull to each other whereas boys fall out less often and settle their scores with a nod of the head and a game of football. This carries on into adult life, women are far more likely to carry out revenge or hurt someone emotionally in a nasty and lasting way and I consider this to show that they are more violent than men.
However I would say that yes men can be violent too but their violence (unless you are talking about habitual abusers) is usually shorter, cruder and less permanantly damaging.
