Classic case of mirroring behaviour....be very wary of this person.they do not think about actions before they do it...(self obsessions.controlling...) ask him to find a hobby of his own and leave your fish food alone..next time he copies your hobbies tell him he's being a bawbag..and you want to do it on your own.everyone needs a creative outlet on their own...ohhhhhhhh and buy lots of unfed piranahs just before the tanks needing cleaned...hahahah the look on his face when they chew his hand...
take up gardening or decorating then let him get on with it.
Are you close enugh to him? Maybe he just wants to be closer to you and show that he cares.
Why not take up cooking, cleaning, gardening and DIY then sit back and let him do all the work! Oterwise, just tell him to back off!
he must feel left out or that he has to make special effort let him down gently, or learn how to pole dance .
Oh my gosh I am with you my little brother does the same thing. All you need to know is that they admire you. You just need to ignore them or get them started on something even cooler, (or just do it better then them.)
I wouldn't bank on the knitting thing if I was you! LOL
Me thinks maybe he can't think for himself and needs you to initiate things for him...take up ironing.u can hope! LOL
Take up Skydiving.
Or have a chat.
A sharp rap on the knuckles. Race him for the fish and if he gets ahead of you trip him.
Actually, he seems to be interested in the same things you are and maybe he feels he's sharing. Sometimes we don't think of our own hobbies , then someone does something and we go, wow cool and jump right in.
You can start another hobby if you like, but I'd just slide in beside him. Get fish that you are interested in, if you really want a tank for yourself tell him, this is my tank, and put your name on it.
Since you do not appreciate it, tell him so! Maybe you don't want to hurt his feelings and have been holding your peace.
It is not fair to either of you to bear this in mind, knowing you resent his taking over everything you start. Frankly, it is not nice of him or friendly either to do that.
Tell him how you feel and see how he takes it, but be honest and frank about it.
Hi, it is usually a confidence thing and he probably wants more of your attention :) failing that he could be a controll freak! Maybe you should tell him your new hobby is housework! you never know he might just take over this hobby leaving you free with your Fish :)
Boo hoo. My partner is actually interested in what I do. Are you serious?
slap him one ( lol)
Maybe he wants to be closer to you and enjoy something that you find interesting. Talk to him about it. Tell him you appreciate that he wants to help, but this is something you would like to enjoy in your personal time. Then you can both come up with a seperate hobby you can do together. Hope this helps! ;)
I know it's not really the same, but my brother started playing the violin because my sister does it, and he started singing in the church choir because i do it, and he wants to start collecting Warhammer because my other brother does it.
I think he just wants to be like us, so your partner maybe just wants to be like you? People only copy others that they really respect, look up to and admire, so maybe he holds you in a really high esteem.
maybe you should get him a girl friend to keep his time ocupied and then he will leave you alone and let you have all your time and things to your self.
He probably just wants to be involved in things with you and wants to spend time with you doing something that you both find enjoyable.
Would you rather he had a hobby that didn't involve you and kept him busy elsewhere? Makes for a lonely life sometimes. Be thankful you have something to do together.
If I were you I would be glad that he is showing interest in what you like. I don't feel he is doing it to be mean. Just to show that he cares about you. I had a similar problem when I got my 2nd parrot. My hubby had nothing to do with the first one. Then when I got the 2nd one he didn't like it. Once the parrot started saying "Hello daddy" that changed his feelings completely :)) Now he takes him riding on the motorcycle and he calls them his children LOL
You should be happy :D
