I recognised the individual immediately even though the other eight people in the parade looked amazingly similar. So, building up a mental image from memory is possible.
Very similar to my mental image, although I did perceive it to be a little younger than what it really was. But then I am younger at heart. I wonder if that holds any relevance?
Building a mental image is a good tool to aid the memory.
