Do we connect with others in our dreams or are we explorers in a world of our own?
Answers:
I don't think we connect with others - that is, we don't share dreams. But I do think we connect with something beyond our physical selves. I've dreamt of places, events, and people - and had the dreams come true years later. That our minds also have a sort out, and process what we've experienced during the day, only complicates the issue!
All alone, but maybe shared experiences?
I think it is possible to connect with others and be explorers by ourselves also. I was going through some thing very stressful and had only told my husband and a couple of close friends. But my mentor was telling me about a dream she had of me and it was exactly related to what I had been going through, although I never revealed the issue with her (not even after she told me her dream).
What a profound question, unless you have some psychic abilities, surely your dreams are personal.
Both and more. We sometimes connect. we sometimes resolve our own problems, we sometimes travel to a place inside ourselves where we can be recharged and energized. And sometimes our brain cells are just cleaning out the waste or discharging stored electricity.

Such questions cant really be answered with conviction. At least not in our present state of understanding. So we are free to believe what we want to.
I personally regard dreams as a conversation (in a broader multimedia sense) between our conscious part (ourselves or our ego) and sub-conscious part. I think our conscious part which we experience as 'I' is the 'I' in our dreams. While that Sub-Conscious part may be others and the atmosphere in our dreams. But these are my believes.
As for our dreams coming true or us connecting with others...well..i think a lot of us dream everyday of so many things. It must not be a surprise if after sometime two of us happen to have a similar dream. And we may believe we made a connection because we want to believe we made one !
Let me give u an example. I once dreamed of a horrible Aircrash. And next day, 9/11 occurred. Surprising ? Perhaps..But does it mean i had a premonition? I don't think so. There are billions of people on this planet. It should not be a surprise is everyday a few thousand or even a few million of them dream of Aircrashes. So anyway you look at it, a lot people would have dreamed of Aircrashes just before 9/11. I just happened to be among them. That's the way i look at it.

When I was younger I used to take LSD as a passtime, my friends and I would do things together such as go for a walk and we all rose out of our seat at the same time and went for a walk or whatever together, nothing was spoken just all thought of the same thing at the same time. I believe this is telepathy. I see no reason why telepathy couldn't work within the dream world as with reality world. I suppose LSD is the dream world. Telepathy must work else how does God speak to me in my thoughts as he does now that I am born again of his spirit. The devil also speaks to me in that he lays temptation before me, but I am able to overcome his temptation to sin in the power of the name of Jesus Christ because I am washed clean in the blood of the lamb of God. I can stand before the throne of God and say that I am redeemed by His (Jesus Christs) blood which he spilled on the cross at calvery for me and for you.
