Is the best way to learn things the HARD way?
I find that I only truly learn things by doing things the most difficult way possible (only to realise at the end there is a much easier and more efficient way to do things!) or by making mistakes and learning from them. I think this is, in fact the best way to learn. I´ve never made the same mistake twice!
How about you? What have you learnt the HARD way?
Answers:
yeah i agree with you cause that way you are mentally programmed for the worst case senario and always ready for any kind of set back.
saving up money, because when my daughter was on ventilator for 5 days and i was broke, had to borrow money from friends,so from then on i started saving for a rainy day.
Yeah.. once you learn the hard way, you don't usually forget the lesson in a hurry..:)
No. Learning things the hard may be costly. Best solution is to seek advice from someone who has done what you are attempting to do. And let that become your hard way of doing things.
u have 2 make ur own mistakes n learn by them
I think everyone has a little voice egging them on to do stupid things, even if you know not to, and then you go through it and learn the hard way and tell the little voice to stuff it.

You bet your sweet life it is
do it wrong then get told off
or
if your are in the army do it wrong and get shot
you won't do that again
Never give a sucker a second chance
Not always, but the more effort you put into learning something the more motivated you will be to remember the lesson, right? You don't want to have to go through all that effort AGAIN, do you?
Some people ONLY learn the hard way. If you are very fortunate, the price won't be too steep and you will recover. Most of us are at least a little hard headed in western culture where individuality is over rated and our elders so undervalued. No blame indicated here. It produces some brilliant results as well as total wrecks.
Most lessons in life are learned the hard way. It just isn't human nature to sit and listen and accept. It is true that once you learn the hard way , you never go back, because the lesson had a price. As for me, I have way too many lessons to list that were learned the hard way.
