I think this statement is false as hell. Industrialization and Urbanisation have destroyed the family system as we know it today, and it does not thrive. Look at everyone who moves away from their families today, most of the time it's just to make a living, and it ends up destroying the ties of families. I know it has done it for mine. I used to live in New Orleans and I left well before the hurricane. I've almost lost all of my ties to my family and with the hurricane, I've pretty much tossed the family thing out the window. The way that we are going is more like a nation of loners than a family strong nation. Family is a thing of the past for America now and it's a damn shame! I don't know what to do about it, I don't know if anything can be done, but it's wrong and people are hurting over it. Friendships are almost non-existant because everyone is so greedy and self-centered, and family is so distant you can barely catch up with them. It's a damn shame, but what is there to do.
