Where did the first caucasian homo sapiens originate from and how many years ago was this?
I am aware that the first humans came from Nubia, on the border of Sudan and egypt, but they were the first african humans. Some studies have suggested that the first americans were of asian origins about 12000 years ago, I would like to know where the first white Europeans originated and how many years ago this was. Indeed it may be interesting to know where and when the first asians originated, not to mention the aborigines. Please bare in mind that neanderthals aren't actually humans and neither are chimpanzees or kippers. you're answers appreciated
Answers:
unfortunately its virtually impossible to tell the skin color of people from the distant past.
though there are theories that modern humans arose in both asia and africa simultaneously, the generally accepted theory is that humans are of an african origin, and spread throughout the world from there..
as for north america, it is still questionable exactly how people got there, but it is generally presumed they were asian populations who either crossed siberia by land, or along the coast. the generally accepted dates for the earliest peopling of north america are approximately what you said, 12kya. however there are controvercial dates in the southern us and specifically in south america which MAY go back upwards of 20kya.
neanderthals seemed to be the only population that was widespread in europe, until they were suddenly replaced by modern humans, who i suppose could be considered the first europeans.
light skin tone is an evolutionary trait.. close to the equator, dark skin is a better trait, as it helps protect .. farther from the equator, dark skin is a hinderance as it resists the vitamin D that we get from the sun. having said that, it is unclear just how LONG it would take for light skin to develop once having moved far enough away from the equator..
so, back to your original question, it is impossible to tell how long ago light skin developed.
They were created 10,000 by God.
According to halexandria.org :
110,000 B.C.E.—First evidence of split between Negroid and Caucasian/Mongoloid races.
92,000 B.C.E.—First appearance of Homo sapiens sapiens , Cro-Magnon Man.
40,000 B.C.E.—Demise of Neanderthals. Split of Caucasian—Mongoloid races.
And other sources say:
"Homo Sapiens Sapiens - Cro-Magnon man (from caves in France and Italy), and modern human beings. Cro-Magnon man seemed to originate in West Asia and moved in to France around 35,000 years ago, and was still found in Europe 2000 to 5000 BC. Relatively pure examples of Cro-Magnon man can be found today in the Dal people of Dalarna, Sweden, and the Guanches of the Canary Islands. With Cro-Magnon man emerged the first signs of art and technological innovations."
Humans were created in the garden of Eden. after the flood and the tower of bable the scattered the globe. Skin color came from the effect of the sun in diffrent climates.
I have read that the first Caucasians came from Asia, after H. sapiens left Africa. So, the migration went from Africa to Asia to Europe and America. [I have some doubts as to 120,000 b.p. as the date for people arriving in America.] The first Australian Aboriginees probably arrived on that continent around 60,000 b.p.
Technically, Neandertals could be human, if you believe that humans simultaneously evolved in Eurasia. Hence, the debate over H. sapiens neanderthalensis versus H. neanderthalensis.
