Why can i not wear just black socks?
i have to wear white socks with black ones over them?

I've never EVER heard of anyhting like this. Who makes you wear both colours of socks? Parents? Ask them.
some people can only tolerate white sox against the skin on their feet, maybe it's the dye in colored sox

Why do you have to do this? Is it for gym class or something? Sometimes they will make you do that because the coloring in the black socks will bleed onto your skin when you sweat, thus them telling you to where white socks. Other than that I don't know.

Years ago, only white socks were made of cotton. Cotton supposedly helps to wick the perspiration away from the foot and is healthier for the foot. Or so the theory goes. Now Cotton socks are made in all colors. If you don't have foot fungus or other foot problems, white socks-colored socks should not be an issue.
