This all depends on which side of the fence you are on. Because if you work on a building site then you are more likely to have to do physical graft and you will definitely be sweating but what stress is there. But if for example you work in an air conditioned office, then you are not going to sweat much at all, however this could be a stressful job. And as for not getting paid, 95% of the people i know, want more money or could at least do with it. I am in the Army and my days work can be me getting paid to do adventure training where its like woo hoo i am getting paid to this. To me being in Iraq for seven months. Living in poor conditions and getting mortar all night. So i take the rough with the smooth.
No, I don't think it's true. I do sometimes get dirty at my job, but most of it has to do with thought. I think people who sweat too much in a 'blue collar job' are probably making less than a lot of 'white collar' workers. Some people work harder physically, but mental jobs can be challenging as well.
I don't sweat. But I also don't get paid enough. Hmm.
if it does not make more than 50k a year
then its not a real job
no
Plenty of jobs you don't sweat at, but you work hard and are underpaid. Journalism comes to mind.
i don't really think that's true. i'd like a moderate job--not too easy but not too hard--one that would challenge me and really keep me motivated.
I have a difficult job, but just because I don't do physical exertion doesn't mean it isn't a real job.
i don't swaet at work but it's a hard job and i don't get paid enough to do it i work in a doctor's office
There are a lot of people who work with their brains. That is a real job too!
whoa. just reading this is causing me to sweat to the stress.

You go to college so you can sweat for fun, not for a living.
I have a real job where I don't sweat at all,get paid a lot and am mentally exhausted by end of day..No physical work at all
only if your a red neck blue collar person. there are many jobs that you don't sweat in because your using your brains and not your bronze.
i had a job that i didn't sweat literally but meantally it wiped me out...so i don't know hon..i think that saying is outdated..lol
People that do manual labor may say that. Some of us have physical limitations, in that we have to use our brain power.
It doesn't matter to me what you do for a living as long as it's legal.
My job makes me sweat once a month. after that I don't do that much and I still don't think I'm being appropriately compensated.

You don't have to sweat for it to be a real job
dont have a job yet.lol.but no, just cause u dont sweat doesnt mean u dont have a real job.as long as u get paid.it's a job.ur keeping urself busy somehow and getting paid so, again, its a job.
as a mother of three very active toddlers, My job is to take care of them. I do sweat sometimes running around the house, but sweating has nothign to do with a real job, a job that is legal, you get paid, you do honest work and pay taxes, not matter if you make minimium wage or $50 an hour it is a real job. All mommies working at home do not get paid enough cash but most of the time I get paid in hugs and kisses.
It's not true and as industrial nations progress into an information economy we will see more and more that immigrants and other nations will do the hard labor and people with college educations will have jobs in air conditioned offices.
i'm at work now.
many people work and don't sweat.
No, not true. I had a real job (HoD for an NGO) and supported myself and three children on it, but never worked up a sweat unless it was a very hot day and the air conditioning couldn't cope.
I dont sweat at work but my job certainly is real and low paid, but I work as hard as the next man or women who do hard labour.
I'm not saying hard work doesn't deserve good pay, (I'm pro union) But there are a great deal of very important jobs that involve thought. Look at scientists- you wouldn't be able to ask this question without the technology developed by some guy who didn't sweat at his job. All in All - DO WHAT YOU LOVE!
I am a dispatcher and I am happy with what I am getting paid. I don't sweat at work, but I do consider my job important. What I do could eventually save someone's life, and that is very rewarding. I don't think I get paid too much or too little. We have great benefits which comes in handy with a baby girl. I know that sometimes my job can be slow, but I take it seriously and work very hard. So no, I do not believe that it is not a real job if you don't sweat.
If they want to pay you to do it - it's a real job!
I know I don't get paid my "market" value - have been offered other jobs for more money and doing less than I currently do in this job.
I currently look after 50 rental properties - with more coming on every day (therefore checking tenants, references, inventory, problems, credit scores, invoices etc)
Type up particulars of properties.
place adverts.
book on properties (go out and photograph and measure up)
deal with incoming calls.
etc
oh and then I come home -
clean up
ironing
feed dogs
cook dinner
washing
look after 4 year old daughter
Wait for husband to call at 5am in the morning once a week from Basra, Iraq. (god bless him, miss him so much)
so yes I feel like I definately earn my money BUT there is no sweating involved so no definately NOT true.
i work hard, sweat, think and am very happy with my pay
I think it depends on how much responsibility you have and how stressful your job is.
Rubbish - do as little as possible for as much as possible - the secret is leverage - there is no such thing as being paid too much - ask Bill Gates. The truest saying "people are too busy getting a living to earn any money".
