How can I become a disciplined, organised person?
I have the potential, but its a process right? unless anyone knows a shortcut?
Answers:
1 start by getting rid of all none esential items in your life this makes for a more organised life
2 get up at the same time every day boring i know, but its a good way to get disciplined
3 dont put off till tomorrow what you can do today
4 get a online bank account and pay all your bills by direct debit
5 have some respect for your self dont become a lazy slob
Quit smoking reefer!
I use lists - that way I have a clear idea of what I need or want to get accomplished.
When I then cross that item off the list it gives me a feeling of accomplishment.
Makes you more disciplined as you can see clearly what you have to achieve in a time scale (a day/month etc)
Take up a martial art.
I guess you would have to do one thing, use your power of will you have to make yourself do these things untill they become natural
Invent your own way of being organised and see what people make of it
When you find out, let me know!
I do have a natural ability to prioritise though, that helps.
I used to write lists to help, but don't need to now...
Depends what you need to be disciplined about. If it's school/work stuff, then I'm a last minute wonder!
Get it done though.
Join the army, they will give you discipline and make you organised. But its up to you. Self discipline is something only you can decide to do. And organised, try by doing only one thing at a time. Do not move on until the task is done.
Make a written list, encompassing all the things you'd like to get done. Then draw it up as a schedule. Then stick to it as best you're able, and if you have to deviate from it, adjust it. Don't give it up in despair. Keep a smalI booklet with you to keep track of your tasks and lists. I suppose that would be jsut about the same advice I'd give someone trying to stay on a diet, wouldn't it? Good luck!
Get a diary, and use it well
spend time planning before any activity
prioritise

u cannot be a diciplined and organized person overnight but u can learn to be. try with smaller things and then u will feel extremely great after achieving and hence, motivate for better dicipline. example things as small as waking up on time for work or school is great. then proceed on with heavier ones like if one smokes, determine to cut the number of cigarettes and more and then quit :)
good luck buddy, i'm learning as well
discipline yourself!
Start by writing down a daily schedule and sticking to it. Cross things off your list as you get them done. For instance it is best if you get up at the same time every day, go for your walk, shower, eat breakfast, etc.No matter how small the task, write it down on your list. Basically get on a daily regimen. Then, have another ongoing list that has more long term things that you need to get done, but just keep putting them off, such as mowing your lawn, painting your bedroom, organizing your paperwork, etc. When you find time here and there, which you should once you are on a daily program, start working on your long term list, and cross those off as you get them done. It will make you feel good as you get things done that you planned to. It is all about lists and time management. Good luck!
That's what I wonder.
Don't become ever, don't ware a uniform!
There will always be enough of those in the world.
Good for YOU!
You have to tackle it a bit at a time. Start with your schedule. get a planner notebook or an electronic organizer. some cell phones even have alarm reminders you can set. Once you've learned to use your time wisely, tackle your living environment. Get rid of clutter. clothes and shoes that you no longer wear, spots equipment you don't use. clean out and organize closets, cupboards, storage areas. It really does make life easier when you're organized. The real trick is maintaining your newly organized environment. It's sounds a bit fussy, but if you designate a place for everything and always put it back where it belongs you save loads of time you'd normally spend searching for things. Good luck!
