Do you like buying milk.?

. in a supermarket?

I miss the old fashioned (blimey, I'm only 40) cheery British milk man. Our lives become less rich the longer we spend in those devil-child supermakets.

WHAT ASPECT FROM BRITISH LIFE DO YOU MISS FROM YOUR PAST?

Answers:
Wasps are getting bigger and there are less of them. It's almost like every pair got together and merged into one giant one. Bees, are the same as ever though, so that's cool.
the rag and bone man coming up the street on the horse and cart.
it's not the same now they come in a van
The bit where I grew up and no chavs were in sight, i'm only 20, but then im educated and have a future. When did all these miscreants and morons appear roaming the streets. I didnt become one.
Fu**ing Chavs.
Milk and bread are one of the most bought items, but i have to say i have never tried anything different from store bought milk
i miss the good old days , being able to drink and drive , legally being able to beat your wife
Half day closing of shops, no Sunday shopping.
Hmm, milk delivered to your door. By the time you pick it up in the summer its starting to go off. By the time you pick it up in the winter its frozen. You really miss that?
I still get milk from the milkman.... I miss kids not playing proper games in the street, all they do now is 'hang around'
I agree, not having a milkman is poo. You have to go the shop and be bombarded with lots of stuff that you dont need but end up buying anyway. BRING BACK THE MILKMAN!
Bread and dripping (now verboten by der food polizei)
Pigs' trotters
tripe (with vinegar in every hole)
bus conductors
mini-skirts
Sunday closing and half day Wednesdays - now we can buy milk 24/7!

I miss having only 3 or 4 channels on the TV and I miss the test card lol
I miss not knowing that EVERYTHING you eat is bad for you! =]
I miss being excited about christmas. We can only be 8 years old once!
I love buying milk, my favourite milk buying day is Friday, I tend to call it 'Milk Friday', its fab, this one time, i bought 4 pints at once (mad, cos i only needed 3!). I used to buy full fat, and that really got me going, but i pilled the pounds on, so back to semi skimmed now. remember, a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips! Long live the cow!
The rag and bone man still comes on my street. And I get milk delivered from the milkman. You can see if there is a round in your area http://www.dairycrest.co.uk

So you don't have to go to the supermarket! Also the milkmen deliver potatoes, bread, juice and lots of other things especially around Christmas.

Also I shop in the market a lot in town.

I live in Luton.. not the country or anything. See you can still have the old fashioned British things in the middle of a town, you just have to find them.
I'd rather buy from a supermarket than have next doors cat spray on my daily pinta
Wait a minute, what did u do with the milkman. Coz if its just the milk issue I am happy with the supermarket one.
bad teeth
I stiil get milk delivered to my door, 5 days a week from my friendly milkman!
Even thought I am not in England I miss the milkman and there used to be a baker that come around once a week I miss that too and the mr whipy van so you could get a icecream on a hot summers day!
I used to love gold top from the milkman yummy
milk is the most popular drink in our society.but there is no need to buy it from a supermarket as many people do milking process in their home places.in short i do not like as the quality and taste is destroyed in supermarket
supermarkets are terrible arent they?!
i guess, i feel sorry for the children of today. they missed out on some great cartoons. and they seem to lack imagination. my daughter's do not care for the old classics: disney etc- they think they ar boring.
i miss lp's.
i remember having bottles of milk given out as a kid when i was at school and it was always warm. put me off milk for life.
I miss the good old rag n bone man lol.We used to take out old clothes,bric-a-brac to him and he'd give us sweets and balloons in return.Showing my age now hehe!
I'm not British, but I love buying milk from the supermarket. I just have this thing for grocery shopping.
I don't buy milk unless I know someone is coming for tea (cow's milk is for baby cows in my view). I miss having the postman deliver only a letter from someone I knew instead of the masses of junk mail we get everyday. I miss the one on one telephone conversations when you 'phoned a company, now it is all automated and call centres.
i dunno i'm only 21
I still have the old fashioned milkman who comes at 5.00am.but if i do run out of milk and have to buy it from the supermarket i end up spending and getting more than i went in for.no good on the purse
