What is alternative for failed multicultural policy?
Quiet obviously the multi-culture policy which introduced by Tory leader [Lady Thatcher],is a major cause of problem we face today.
a) crating segregation and isolations
b)has created many Ghettoes like close door moslim community which is a main source of islamist terrorist
b)has been a main obstacle of integration opportunity for new comers [well Tory would never like a integration, w’d they?]
c) Has given a chance to individual opportunist among minorities, as well as moslim communities to get lots of money from government and other charity resources in the name of cultural enhancement etc.
Some individual who has managerial jobs in those cultural community centres would try to get their money for this chaos.
Do you know how many organisations and how many people get huge money from the government for leading so called cultural communities?
Answers:
Intergration. Multi-culturalism is ridiculous. If people hadn't been driven into isolated communities where they could build up resentment for outsiders, our country would be made up of intergrated societies that wouldn't have such unweildy racism and hatred. So when people arrive here with legitimate reasons to stay here, they should be encouraged to set up home in an area where they will be different. It won't always be easy, but after a while it will become the norm.
Also, those wanting to live here should also be taught to be British. You can't expect to come here and refuse to change the way that you act and think. Lessons should be made available by the government that teach things like language, history, politics, social studies and popular cultures. Each individual coming here should be made to complete a certain amount of these studies to help them intergrate themselves.
I like people coming to this country because we can learn more about cultures, religions and rituals from around the globe. This helps us to understand the global community and this would stop a lot of agro. Isolation never prospers.
a) rather than splitting imigrants up they were misguidedly placed into communities that have devolved into ghetto's.
b) when allowances are made for induividuals own cultures and practices to be freely practiced without the need for integration into this countries society the main obstruction has been the lack of drive to get all imigrants to want to be British.
c)not sure you thought that one through very well, if those monies were denied to them they would also be denied to us due to human rights legislation not allowing for discrimination.
you might actually find the problem stems back much further than Thatcher, try researching the Wilson labour government as I am sure this will open your eyes further as to where the failings of today began

In response to Sonicdemon thingy - can we remind him/her that many people from abroad(remember Ireland too was a colony) received invites to live in England during the Windrush in the 50's - Previous to this, people were taken from their countries and enslaved. Either way, the areas that people from abroad were expected to live in were minimal and dehumanising then and much hasn't changed today.
Thatcher's policies talked about assimilation; Blair's policies talk about assimilation - we are no further on in terms of discussions about multiculturalism - Oil/capitalism/consumerism and divide and rule notion is behind any policy related to multiculturalism....
