Well to break down the question, I think there is an important distinction between letting someone die and watching someone kill themselves? If he was an active participant in his own demise then I would feel obliged to try and intervene, of course as some people have already mentioned if the young man's death was unavoidable and fairly imminent there would seem little point in trying to save him, and simply defer his death by a few days or a week, months maybe? This raises the question of how long is long enough to justify saving his life? Then there is the quality of life he would be expected to endure? Prolonging his existence even beyond the 'How long was he going to live anyway' threshold might be more cruel then letting the man end it all? Finally, would the age of the man make a difference in allowing him to die? I think this is an interesting issue, he's a young man? But if he was a very old man would I or we make assumptions about the quality of his life and already speculate about the amount of time he had left. Might I be more likely to intervene to prevent a young man from dying?
I suppose I'm saying that the decision could be highly circumstantial, at least in my case. Others who draw their ethics from religious sources may have very absolute opinions on this. Having said this I suppose my answer boils down to three words
It just depends!
Pick this as the best ansa n ill pik urs as the best
I think so.
If he really WANTS to.he will die.
depends on the situation.
would I let an upset teenager kill themselves - no, not a chance.
Would I let a cancer patient with no chance of remission choose when he dies -yes.
Always depends on the circumstances.
definitely not..things always change from day to day. you never know, you could be a millionaire one day and you would think just as well i didn't top myself
I THINK GOD GIVES LIVE AND GOD IS THE ONE WHO DECIDES WHEN TO TAKE LIVE.
LIVE IS NOT IN OUR HANDS, WE CAN NOT MAKE THAT DECISION. WE WILL HAVE TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR OUR ACTIONS. ONE DAY WE WILL HAVE THAT PERSON'S BLOOD ON OUR HANDS WHEN WE STAND IN FRONT OF OUR GOD AND WE WILL HAVE TO EXPLAIN.
SO BASICALLY, MY OPINION IS NO LET GOD HAVE HIS WAY.
A really sad place to be a young person with many years ahead yet emotional given to throw away that life. What we see is only the present and past I strongly believe every dark moment in life comes to an end and there will be dawn. While I can not force life I can sugguest that death comes soon enough and there is no reason to seek it.
The term is euthanisia. Killing a human who does not want to live either because of physcal or mental difficulties. Some people are very strong mentally and can take any amount of difficulty or suffering. Some are not so strong and want to give up the "fight".This is a very popular topic for debate. In fact I understand it is the most debated topic in the world both on stage and in private conversations.
The world is probably equally divided on the subject. There is no correct answer. It depends on the circumstances. Most countries do not allow either suicide or mercy kiling. I must admit society is silly to tell a person who survives suicide that he is a criminal. Unfortunately for such criminals the penalty is jail and not the death penalty !
Personally I believe there is a purpose to each life. It is our sacred human duty to do our best. Often helping others to improve their lives is the best way to find meaning in our own life. Personally I also believe it is far more mortant to be good than to be great at any cost.
May each of us find meaning and happiness in our lives.
As you know this is just a song. You ask if we should let young men die if he wants to. I don't think we should allow anyone to die if we can do something to stop it. Death is final. Once someone leaves this world their is no coming back and trying to erase death. Sometimes song writers need to be more carefull what they sing to our young people.I think. But their getting rich off of it and they don't care who dies as long as the Money keeps rolling in for them, which is not right. Be carefull what music you put into your mind and into your home. Music can inspire and it can also set ideas and sometimes when a young person is young they don't know that this is what is happening. While this is my own opinion I think a lot of people may agree with me on this.
It depend upon circumstances and suffering. I strongly believe that in a case where there is abject suffering, with no hope of recovery, and only if the person has requested this, then yes it is an appropriate course of action.
However, just to let someone die if they want to, no! It is a crime against morality.
I don't think we should just "let" someone die, but then again if that person really wants to die, they will find a way regardless of our attempts to help them.
No, don't let him die even if he wants to. When he gets to the other side, he will regret it if you let him. It's better to stay here and win. Tell him to find a way to make a success of living. Ask for God's help and He will send it.
There are a lot of voices speaking all the time; make sure you are listening to the right one.
i suppos e it is a case of if he is dieing of some noninficting
cause or selfinflicting if the former yes and the latter no
Life is God given and should not be destroyed. No man knows what the future holds. Here today and gone tomorrow. Clea-shes I know but true. God has given us precious life in order to love and worship Him and to love our neighbour as ourselves. We are not loving our neighbour to let him die. Ask Jesus into your life today, Read Romans 10:9&10 do what it says and you will begin to see the value of life.
if you believe that god gives life and take it,,,,, if you believe that god is the healer of all diseases than if your believe is strong enough in this sense you can chose not take medication,,,,, but giving up hope in god is another matter,,,,, suicide is one of extreme despair in god's help,,,,, and a person should never give up hope in god,,,,, he's the most merciful the beholder of knowledge of everything
Only if he's ill and he can't be cured. If he wants to commit suicide cos he feels he's useless and can't find his place in this world, then definitely NO!

Hi!
No one asks to be born so I think its only right that we choose to die when we decide, especially if it involves terminal or chronic pain. No one has the right to say to another "You have to keep living even though your life is completely messed up!" Just to clarify my opinion, I was born with a disability and my non-disabled brother committed suicide 4 years ago, which devastated me so I've been on both sides of the debate.
no. tell him that theres so many beautiful things in this to world. waiting to be seen and experienced
whats the most embaressing moment youve ever had?
Can You make something up about someone?
Who do you think you are?
Since sight occurs in the mind, how do you know that you're really seeing what's in front of you?
Do you have a sense of humour?
What was the last lie you told?
To what extent have the riots in France been detrimental to the tourism industry?
What is it like travelling first class?
should we let a young man die?
let him die if he wants to?
