What's the best advice you've been given?
My dad once told me that 'there is nothing in this world that you can do - that hasn't been done before'. He was referring to when I got in some trouble. What's the best advice that has been given to you?

Don't pee into the wind

My mom had a very corky personailty.
Her famous one is..
"SH!T or get off the pot"
Meaning..just don't sit there get up and do something about it instead of grunting and complaining.
always smile you never know whos looking. and what goes around comes around as i have found to my peril!
Take advice from everyone, but do what your mind says.

Never kick a cow chip on a hot day
don't eat yellow snow. lol no really. don't believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see
Don't worry about what you can't change
Choose your battles. That's been very good advice in marriage and with raising my children. Nobody is perfect. Everyone screws up now and then. There's no reason to gripe at every single thing that comes up that annoys me. If I did, my husband and my children would learn to hate me for sure.
"Never give up on yourself and never sell yourself short. You're the only one who can make yourself happy. Someone else can add to your happiness but no one can make you happy." - My dad.
I don't remember the exact circumstances as I was only about 10 years old but I still remember what he said to me. I embraced his words and have lived by them every since.
Life is about the journey, not the destination.
It is so true, we need to enjoy all that the journey has to give us along the way. The destination is not as important. In life and on our daily travels.

When I had my twins, everybody loaded me with advice. My midwife (SSAFA Grace) said, 'Listen to it all and throw out what you don't need.' She was so right. I've used it in everything I do. I never shut anybody up and I thank them for their kindness (Then, if I don't need it, I just ignore what they've said!)
Enjoy yourself without hurting others ,this means that everyone around you gets a buzz from your happiness and it is infectious.

However there is one very important one : "Life is Unfair!! Get used to IT!"
and that is true LOL
THE STILL WATERS OF THE WATER UNDER A FROND OF STARS, THE STILL WATERS OF YOUR MOUTH UNDER A THICKET OF KISSES.
Never be someone you assume others want you to be, just be yourself.
Or another favorite one. Strive daily to leave that imprint on someone's heart.

keep yor mouth closed and your ear's open , your never get yourself into trouble !!

And when people are angry because they have made a mistake I tell them if you dont make at least 2 mistakes a day you are doing something wrong, how do you learn without them?
If you're not sure if you should do something or not, picture all the people you love reading about it the next morning in the newspaper.

My Uncle Alex gave me the best advice I've ever had:
If you want something done, get someone else to do it.
If you want something done properly, do it yourself.
My dad gave out great advice but the cream of the crop,has to be these If your chatting a bird take her number then your in charge, make sure she has a house to go to ,,then you don"t have to wash the sheets in the morning,also if your not in bed by eleven dump her you still have time to pick up another. and the cracker two birds one drink on a stick and a dog ,pick the dog she will be so greatful she"ll put out. When i was much older he said WHEN you get to your age three things you should know 1 when you need a pee GO 2-never trust a fart and3- if you manage to get an erection USE IT.Good advice i think
