Trust is supposed to be reliance on and confidence in a person, thing, event or condition. That's one meaning of the word and that's what its supposed to be.
trust is a promise; something that two people agree together and hence relying on each other to make sure they stick to their word and not go against it- and yet once that trust is broken by one person, it is therefore lost and so, as a result that other person has lost respect for him/her because they did not keep to their promise

katie .. i dont think you're ever going to know what trust is. if he can mess around with you when he's married to his wife then he 'll mess around with anyone. even if he left her for you he do the same to you.. same goes for most guys. trust is a two way thing and knowing the person you love and who loves you won't mess about with others and will be honest and true to you. but i guess i'm too idealistic.. i don't think it happens very often.

Trust is a bond or intstinct that is the willing acceptance of one's power to affect another. That it will not betray your belief system. Nore will it make you feel bad or do something that will cause you inner conflict.
