Whats the best way to not get stressed at work?
Answers:
Take things in stride and just deal with one thing at a time. Relax and try taking deep breaths. Also if all else fails, lock yourself in the restroom for a few minutes and regroup
smoke a cigarette or a joint if you can
Don't go in! lol
i find that nipping home at lunchtime to masterbate helps me
Take a couple of weeks off.
Take it easy and tell to yourself all the time, I'm doing my job and don't need to make sick myself. That's all.
I have an Ally McBeal moment where I imagine myself with a huge boxing glove. If anyone annoys me I think of myself battering them round the head with it!
Have a Day off!
don;t work...
stay away from negative people & office gossip - stay on top of your work - have lunch with friends - sneak onto UKQnA.com thru out the day to cure you of any boredom.
Learn to manage your time and don't let people get to you. If you get shouted at, remember, it's only work and go in the next day with a smile on your face. If people can see they're getting you down, they'll keep trying.
Also learn to say no!
I guess you don't like your job. That's why you feel stress.
well...dont go in...get a stress ball...dont take the pressure job..take loads of pills..
When sitting, twiddle your toes for a few minutes, it really works. Then ask yourself what is making you stressed. other people or the work, lack of resources or guidance, watching lazy bastards get on while you stay put. Some things you cannot help.
dont listen to gossip..let things pass over your head..dont rush too much..leave early.
think about all the things/people that bug you - and accept it - its only a job!! ..find humour in the futility of it all and smile
How about not go? lol.
What works for you in your off time? What do you do to de-stress then? Does it work? Try that then. You just have to think to yourself." I'm doing my job. I'm doing my best." If you have a moment, go outside and get a breath of fresh air for 5 minutes. Go to the bathroom and simply wash your hands, look in the mirror and check your appearance. Talk to another co-worker who you know also gets stressed over the same things..not only will that help just getting it off your chest for a moment, but they might be able to give you some advice as to how they move on from it.
Hope some of this helps.good luck.
Stay cool. Prioritise. Do one task at a time. Have a breather now and again. Keep desk uncluttered. Have good filing system. Try to make your environment as pleasant as possible.
Pick up your mistakes before anyone else.
Do not take suggestions or criticisms as a personal attack on you.
If in a hole, ask advice from someone who can help.
Be firm and say no if too many demands are made on you and say why.
Do not listen to petty office gossip. Don't let colleagues get under your skin.
Don't do masses of unpaid overtime thinking it will impress the organisation, it doesn't.
Don't give your boss an inkling that you hate his or her guts or think he/she is an idiot even if it is true.
Don't drink too much coffee. No alcohol during the working day even if you have a business lunch.
Don't mix business and pleasure and do not embark on an affair with a colleague.
Focus on mission accomplishment. During the time of a custody battle, during my divorce, I worked with a handful of people that created much stimulus that made for stress, for selfish, issues related reasons, (long story). The job was well below me too, even the owner and his wife were ignorant as hell, but I had appease them by letting them think I felt differently. WHY? BUT, I wanted to keep my kids, so I focused on mission accomplishment. I am unable to work now though. Maybe being homeless will help you get in touch with the fortitude of your character, and engrain more deeply these values you have the wish to further engrain within yourself. And then maybe, you will realize what it truly takes to make you happy.
Retire.
